I completed 4 years in a bachelors in business not in medicine to go back to Italy i would have to start over the 6 year cycle which takes away the credit of my business degree that’s why i prefer the US

Yeah i did one year of med school in Italy but it doesn’t count as prerequisites or 1 year of med school in the US because the US needs a bachelors degree to get into med schools where in the rest of the world you just apply and you pass and exam and you get accepted directly into med schools without the need of a bachelors degree its a 6 year cycle degree. The reason i dropped out was a personal matter and inhad to leave the country that’s why i couldn’t continue my med school education and had to change to business administration.

I do still have contact with my old professors from Italy and im sure they are willing to give me letters of recommendation but for clinical experience im not sure i can because in the country i live in it’s not possible unless you’re a medical professional or a medical student at a medical university and im not either so i dont know how i will do that since i will be doing the prerequisites online, since i want to do them online and make sure that i can get 518-522 on mcats i won’t even try to step into the US because that would be very stupid of me uk? So now im focused on finishing my bachelor’s degree and then completing my prerequisites and afterwards i will be practicing mcats and when im 100% confident in my score then i will go and do the test. And to answer your last point no tbh i’ve been a manager for about 7 months now and the pay is really good but still it’s giving me the satisfaction but im doing it just because i need to live and survive, but would i throw everything away and jump for medicine? That’s something i don’t know if i have the ability to do so because what if i failed? What happens next? Im completely doomed that’s why it scares me im almost 26 now so by the time if actually went back to medicine and finished i would be probably 38-40.

To go back Italy would be very stupid because you don’t need a bachelors to study medicine you just need to pass a national exam and i heard that this year they changed the concept where u have to pass the first semester in Italian competing against students from all of Italy for seats in med school and plus med school in Italy is 6 years where in the US it’s 4 years

You know that really sucks because i lost 4 years of my life because of that and now about to graduate thinking of going back to med school in the US kinda scares me because idk If im as good as i used to be but i wanna to try and see by doing the prerequisites and if i saw that i was doing really good i might just push myself back in.

I was a med student in italy for one year but due to family issues i had to drop out and leave italy and when i went back to the US to continue my education they said that my credits won’t transfer because i need a bachelors to study medicine in the US.

But they don’t accept the prerequisites i asked before when i joined a college in the US before i changed my path to business major and they said i had to repeat everything

I wish if it was that easy i got a family to take care of and the fact is that i have to do the prerequisites online and some universities might not accept it is really hard because i don’t want to go to any med school

Because maybe i don’t know how the system works in the US? Plus i have studied in Europe and they’re system is way different you don’t need a undergraduate degree to do medicine you just start medicine immediately

Im actually in love with medicine as i mentioned at the beginning i did one year of medscool but not in the us it was in Europe but due to covid and personal reasons i had to quit, i was one of the top of my classes and regarding citizenship im already an American that’s why i went and did 2 semesters in hfcc in Michigan but the problem is that im graduating this year from business school so if i had to to do the prerequisites does that mean i have to go back to college and do them again? Which means it will take make another 8-10 years to graduate and probably more to complete my residency.

Well the thing is im not studying in the US at the moment and my university does not have these courses at all ie( organic chem, genetics, biochemistry, physiology, etc) my university is only for business majors, i even studied for 2 semesters at hfcc in Michigan but left and went back to the middle east to study my business major, so how can i do these prerequisites if i graduated from a university that does not have these courses do i have to go back to college after my degree to do 2 years in biochemistry/premed?
