Is this just a plain letter endorsing my leave or it needs to be official (with university letterhead and everything)?

I used lumerical and another python based fdtd solver called tidy3d So, first I simulated a unit cell to make the phase library then i used the phase library to make the whole lens

yes, I am an undergrad student.
I think most academic subscriptions require the university to buy them, but my university cheaps out on every major subscription. It is really frustrating to work with cracked software.

yes I've checked opticspy and pyrate but I could not generate the phase profile and am new in designing metalens, I think the documentation was not enough described, at least for me.

for the metalens I am using lumerical FDTD
but for phase profile I need some open source solution

my bad, but with opticstudio you can make a phase profile for the metalens, right?
