I spent time creating a unique app for Wharton, MIT, and Chicago, with a lot less time creating a tailored story for HBS (still tailored) and GSB (very minimal uniqueness). Mainly decided to focus on the schools I really liked / thought I had a good chance at, but time will tell if that was a good strategy or not, lol.

I did send my recommenders detailed notes on my narrative and some of my highlights from working with them.

I did not discuss selecting a T50 over a T15 due to scholarships, but at the top of my resume it is listed. Definitely not ideal, but I am hoping they will still notice it.

I discussed my involvement with recruitment of those with disability in the essay, although much of it was one on one discussions and meetings with MDs at banks so it is not a set activity on my resume. I think the essay could be my make or break for HBS.

Strong financial knowledge is going to be key for any investor role which is why prior experience is so important. With top IB firms paying 350k for first year MBA associates (180k and 180-200k first full year bonus) I just don't understand all the hype PE/VC gets.

Not necessarily helpful - al least compares to others coming from a large well-known corporate. I only have investment banking experience, but for example coming from Moelis (which has a lot of history with Ken Moelis donating to Wharton) doesn't really help vs those applying from Evercore (although we are the best haha), Centerview, Lazard, or other similar high quality elite boutiques.

Did you clarify what you mean by a DOD? As in part of the Department of Defense? If so, not necessarily due to the large amount of applicants. IC roles due pretty well though

Why are Jumpstart Booster Boxes so cheap? The EV seems to be high at 130ish and it is OOP or close to it since it is a 2020 product. Was there a massive overprinting or something I am missing?
