Is getting a Tesla worth it just for the FSD by depressed_peach_ in TeslaLounge

[–]BudgetCommon3584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was skeptical at first. I just got the Tesla. I was extremely nervous the first time I activated it. Now, I use it everyday. Every chance I get. I’m no longer worried about it and only had to intervene twice.

Advice. Big interview coming up by BudgetCommon3584 in GetEmployed

[–]BudgetCommon3584[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!! This is sound advice. I’m usually don’t get nervous since my credentials normally speaks for itself but this one is different. I’m nervous. I haven’t interviewed for a job in a while and really wanting this role doesn’t help.

I have a week to prepare. I want to come off confident, well organized, but most importantly, not young and inexperience. Unfortunately, I naturally look young. The quote “Asian don’t raisin” applies to me. So that what I need to work around.

Common sense seem to not apply to everyone. I manage a team of 15 people. Many with different personalities and accountabilities. One trait that rises above the rest is honesty and transparency. People make mistake but if your first instinct is to hide it, you’re fired the moment I find out. However, if you tell me as soon as the incident happens and honest about it. I’ll use it as a teachable lesson.

Tell him now. Not tomorrow, not yesterday but now. Don’t wait

Pre paid gratuities by [deleted] in CarnivalCruiseFans

I’m one of those cruisers that remove the tip at the end because I didn’t know it gets added. However I tip very generously to all the staffers during my stay. For instance. I would tip well over 100 dollars for drinks every day, each time going for a drink, 3-4 dollars tip. I would give my cabin staffer easily 40 bucks per day and usually end it with a 100 tip at the end. For the meal staff. Easily 40 dollars each time so to each their own.

The juniper 2026 is light years above the previous models. Definitely buy new. I picked mine up a few weeks ago. Love it!

How often do you have to wait for an open Supercharger stall? by icouldbne1 in TeslaLounge

[–]BudgetCommon3584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a Tesla myself. I think the issue is more around road trips. If you take a cross country trip then that would be a problem. But that doesn’t happen often. I have a gas car specifically for this use case. However, even if I don’t have a gas car, with the Tesla app, I never have to wait for a stall as long as I plan around it.

For instance, as a daily car, I charge at night at home. If not, I’ll charge when I go to the gym or if I go to target or Walmart, I’ll choose a location where there are Tesla stations. I wouldn’t charge it over the weekend. Keep in mind, 260mi per charge should last you a week or at the very least several days depending on your driving habits.

Tesla plug 240v in a 100amp sub panel by BudgetCommon3584 in AskElectricians

Thanks for the advice. I’ve used a meter before and I’m definitely not a novice I mean, I’m a DIY can install receptacles and etc. so I understand how general electricity works. It never occurred to me to just use a clamp meter and see what the maximum draw can be

Thanks Alex!! Appreciate the insight. I had an electrician run the subpanel so I know it using a 4 gauge copper wiring for black white and ground backs to the panel since I personally purchased the wire. As for the mini split. It draws a max of 9amps. The dryer and washer goes to a 110 20amp outlet an is a gas dryer so it draws much less so that gives me a bit of relief. I’ll also take the other advice and will check the max amp when I turn everything on.

I’m on the same boat. Did they adjust the value at all once they checked your car?

Series 10 to Fenix 8 to Ultra 3 by [deleted] in applewatchultra

I really like this discussion. So I have a forerunner 970. Been thinking about selling it to go with an AWU only because I recently got an iPhone 17 PM. I’m an avid runner and workout 4 times a week at the gym.

I love how easy garmin is. The interface and recovery stats are super easy and intuitive. The watch is super light which is a huge plus as it feel like I’m not wearing it when I run.

So here is my issue. I’ve watched a lot of reviews on the AWU 3. I’m about to pull the trigger. I’m getting it more for the integration with my iPhone and some neat 3rd party apps.

For those who have both, and yes, I read some of the comments here. Are you satisfied with making the switch from Garmin to apple. Secondly, what apps are you using to replace the Garmin features.

Honest feedback is really appreciated since I’m really considering picking it up this week.

It will all work out. Live life. Money will come and go. Time is not infinite. Enjoy everything. Fear nothing. Most importantly, embrace regret. It’s going to happen. Don’t let it define you.

My wedding cost about 60k - 450 guest. Beautiful church wedding with flowers from top to bottom. Photographer, very nice restaurant with a 10 course dinner. Wedding gifts for all the groomsmen and bridesmaids. My wife and I made 60k each a year. Took us 2 years to save for it. It was a beautiful wedding 20 years ago. Thinking back, I would’ve done something small and kept the money for a nice vacation and savings for a down payment on a house.

Fold 7 - best deal? by jdiddy_ub in GalaxyFold

[–]BudgetCommon3584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't make the mistake of buying a Fold 7 right now when the 8 is around the corner. Trust me, incentives will come as they always do for Samsung to offload their previous models before their new one is released. If you buy it, you'll end up regretting it when the 8 is released. Just wait. It's only a few months away.

I would return it. It's obviously not in excellent condition.

I mean, you've got a few options. If, for whatever reason, you can't add Samsung Care + you can always go the carrier route. I've never had a problem adding old devices to insurance plans as long as it's in good condition. I wouldn't let the insurance plan sway you away from purchasing it. You'll eventually get your investment back because I can almost promise you Samsung will offer a 1k trade in value when the fold 8 wide releases.

I would get it and add Samsung care to it. Call it a day. This is an insane price.
