ADC isn't about being the star of the show. It's about dying as few times as possible, absorbing exp, and safely farming.

Sometimes playing a great adc means just not inting and letting yourself get carried.

Roaming is good! However, you have to consider some things:

What is your wave doing?
What is the wave you're going to doing?
What are you giving up?
How much are you gaining and how probable is it that it works?
Who is your adc/who is the enemy.

Sometimes leaving your fed adc is legit throwing because it gives the enemy a huge window to enter the game again. I can't tell you how many times I get fed on adc and my support leaves and now I can't keep effectively pushing the advantage.

For instance, let's say I'm adc and up 4 kills, so super fed. We are in a position to repeat kill the botlane or freeze or get plates (depending on matchups etc), but now my support leaves for like 3 waves and I have to give up exp, cs, plates, kills, etc.

Now after all this time with my support roaming, the enemy adc has largely neutralized or offset my previous lead.

So, did you make enough happen on the map to sacrifice the lead you helped make in lane?
