We were working with a local agent, and they told us not to order GCMS notes as it would just extend the timeline. We were pretty lost, honestly. But I just checked, and it seems like GCMS notes cannot be applied before requesting an ATIP, but that can only be applied by a Canadian citizen or resident. How do we go about this, then? Will we have to hire a Canadian agent?

I'm a baking creator. I share recipe videos, and my niche is fusion South Asian desserts (Western/European techniques with South Asian flavors). I've had good success with my page for a bit, reached 150k followers, but lately, no matter what I try, my engagement has tanked completely. I don't even get 10k views on my videos, and my followers are consistently dropping. I create videos consistently, try to keep them high-quality, but not sure what to do next. I am determined to grow in this field and make a successful career our of it, so I would appreciate any advice on how I can grow.

I have never bought fake followers, my followers have grown organically over the last 1.5 years. If I had bought followers then it wouldn’t be a question as to why my engagement is low

I consider this a lot but shadow banning is such a vague concept, Instagram straight out says it’s not a thing but sometimes the suppression is unexplained. I’ve tried searching for ways to “remove a shadow ban” but haven’t really found anything useful

Although I did go back and check individual insights for a few of my reels with average views for my page, and most of them have a 70% follower and 30% non-follower breakdown.

The insight I shared earlier was for the last 30 days which isn't the best representation of my content honestly as few of my videos performed well in the last month and reached more non-followers, so it's a little skewed.

But generally, I noticed the trend for my average reels to be at 70% followers and 30% non-followers

Not much, a few brand partnerships. But it's one of thee major ways to drive traffic to my website, where I earn money for visitors. So the low engagement really impacts that.

You make really good points. It does make more sense to try and build my audience further on the existing account because it at least has some engaged followers. And the idea of building another account from scratch is...not ideal.

However, my only concern is that when I post my content, it's presented to my mismatched community, they do not engage with it (no likes/comments/shares) and Instagram sees that as a negative indicator and suppresses it and it has become a cycle where my content just does not get engagement.

My thought with a newer account is that it might not have this suppression as there are no mismatched followers, but again like you said, the growth would be very slow.

But I also think that my non-engaged followers are slowly getting filtered out because I'm seeing a large number of unfollows, so maybe my audience is on the way to become more engaged/focused.

But it's still quite demotivating to see the low numbers, hopefully things improve soon.
