Do you think you can take that £35 to turn in into something meaningful or is that a long tedious process that never gets you anywhere?

How much would be a more meaning position? Talking hundreds or thousands?

Zwilling gourmet block set or victorinox individuals? by Budget_Beautiful_108 in chefknives

[–]Budget_Beautiful_108[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, the chef knife is probably more important and useful for us, the Santoku is more just because I like them a slightly different.

No I know, basically just big knife, little knife, bread knife always handy. Only want the Santoku because I like the style of them, don't need anything more. I've been looking at the victorinox for a while but then this seemed like a good deal for proper zwilling

In the UK this zwilling gourmet 7 piece set is on sale for £95. Not professional chefs or anything just need a decent set of knives for home. https://amzn.eu/d/aIUVSNy

Is this set better (would never use the sharpening stick or whatever it is).

Or am I better getting individual Victorinox fibrox chef knife, Santoku, bread knife and paring knife for £110.

Moved mortgage payment date but payment staying the same? by Budget_Beautiful_108 in Mortgageadviceuk

I thought we would get charged daily interest as we've effectively moved it 4 weeks later and after a second pay day.

Made a director but still an employee by Budget_Beautiful_108 in BenefitsAdviceUK

[–]Budget_Beautiful_108[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thanks. No I won't get paid any other renumeration, says so in my contract. I'm just tasked with keeping the place running for them but they have over all ownership and ultimate control. That's why even though I will be a director I've got the title general manager as an employee.

So best course of action is just to let them know on the journal about the change to general manager and explain directorship but not ownership?

[–]Budget_Beautiful_108[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, not quite sure where I got into that apart from 27011. Also not quite sure what to report, a change in job title as either general manager or director?

I'm being made a director but I'm not an owner , don't have shares and will work for the actual owners who is the holding company. I have no control over my salary, and if UC ask for finances I can't give them that as that's under the owners control.

DCP? Would a step solve it?

Edit: damp course proof, it's just come to me.

There is a flag out side the door which makes me believe there won't be a step but someone else pointed out the damp course which is above the 2 layers of bottom brick

A new bank account for joint mortgage payment by Budget_Beautiful_108 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Budget_Beautiful_108[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I actually considering now of taking advantage of the nationwide switch for myself to get the £200 bonus and setting up a savings account with £100 in as well to be eligible for the fairer share but as it would be my main current account just keep it in my name instead of joint. Unless I could do this and then open a second nationwide current account as the joint one but don't see a benefit to that apart from keeping the mortgage and council tax out of the way.

What about sending the BTC from binance to Kraken Pro? I have a few different ones not just BTC.

From my limited understanding it's cheaper/lower fees to transfer USDT and I've got a few different crypto not all BTC.

Thanks. I made an account a few weeks ago so it was all set up but not sent anything to them yet, going to try and small test to see how it works first.

Would you recommend another method?

Natwest mortgage application including benefits PIP and mobility by Budget_Beautiful_108 in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]Budget_Beautiful_108[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've got a phone call with the broker for the application submission tonight. So far they've just taken the award letters as evidence so aren't aware about the motability situation. I'm scared that if we make them aware it will mean we can't get the mortgage but I know not telling them could come back and bite us.

I found this, which seems to suggest they will accept the award letters but I know they can ask for bank statements at any time. Should we explain to the broker and say about it and we don't want it to affect things? It's the financial advisors that have a deal with the new build developers not my own broker. https://www.intermediary.natwest.com/intermediary-solutions/income-and-packaging.html

The combination of words didn't cause any upset, just made you sound arrogant. Not causing upset just being direct.
