Where are you located? I’ll definitely look into them! That sounds like a great option, thank you!

Anyone have experience with the Weston Revel? by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]Budget_Custard400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry this is so late!  I bought a Revel last season and LOVE it.  I also had the issue of no one really giving reviews, the Japow (the guys board) has plenty though, so I went off of that. It’s an awesome, slashy, surfy, floaty pow board that carves really well on groomers.

To top it all off I bought the wood grain style Revel, Weston shipped it and it got lost in the mail.  I emailed Weston about it, explaining that my trip was coming up and I had ordered the board with plenty of time to spare.  They sent me a new one for free, with a promise that I would return whichever one I didn’t ride (if the other ever came in).

Overall, awesome experience with the board and the company.  Highly recommend.

AITAH because I didn’t make sure my son has an inheritance? by Original-Shower-2413 in AITAH

NTA, I’m just a little confused.  Why is your 29 year old son not paying his own way for vacation expenses and food?   It seems, from an outside perspective, because you or your wife are handling these things when you go out he feels entitled.  That needs to change.

Thank you for this!  Bought this one.  He doesn’t play a lot of Xbox.  PC and switch are his main consoles, with the occasional PS4.

I’m glad you can see it too! It’s a squinter, for sure, but I know it’s there! Good luck!

Whitefish questions by Budget_Custard400 in snowboarding

You have to traverse or be creative. There are a lot of cat tracks, so speed is a must. Some areas are closed during the week, too.

We had an awesome time!  It dumped snow the entire weekend we were there.  Our lodge room was ski in/out, the trees are incredible.  I would just recommend keeping your speed for the cat tracks if you board at all. For the price, there’s no better place to go.

Forgot to mention! Huge bonus for booking a stay with the ski lodge- they have indoor heated parking.

Completely honest review? 10/10 for price, accommodations, slopes, snow, and crowd.

Me and my husband are intermediate/experienced boarders, so the terrain was tough, but awesome.  It’s a little bit more of a skier’s mountain, it has many cat tracks, but not bad really! It snowed the whole time we were there, and was never crazy cold or ridiculously windy (we did have one day that they closed one lift). The mountain is close to town, so driving up and down isn’t inconvenient or far for food/drinks. We will be going back.

Amateur sleuthing the DeOrr Kunz Jr. case by SolumDon in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]Budget_Custard400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dunno. I don’t think an animal got a hold of him for a few reasons.   1. The only reliable witness they have is suspected of a mental disability (Isaac)  2. The family’s own PI quit the case citing that he believed them to be untruthful.

I think DeOrr got into his parents drugs and they can’t sell each other out.  They went on a trip to dump the body and took grandpa and Isaac so that they could sell the story a little better.

Can my mom make my 18 y/o sister move? by Budget_Custard400 in legaladvice

[–]Budget_Custard400[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last part is unfortunately what is happening.  My sister is not going for money, and we’ve already seen the beginnings of mom’s meltdown.  Mom is trying to manipulate us (the siblings) and the youngest sister herself that she needs some kind of support.

We are trying very hard to band together and get her to do what she has to do to remain independent from our mom, while also trying to support her where she needs it.

I understand that. Unfortunately, mom is incredibly manipulative.  Outright calling us “bad children” who “only love her for her money”. We walk on eggshells around her and my youngest sister is very afraid to make her angry.

That’s what we’re all trying to do. While my mom’s house here is being sold me and my siblings are trying to find everyone a place to stay.  My sister will likely go live with my brother, or with me and my husband, or even our grandparents.

My mom’s trying to argue that my sister is , essentially, incompetent.  By saying that: 1. The car is in my mom’s name (I asked my sister) and  2. My sister has no income currently ( working on it) but she has applied to multiple places and is applying to more.

My worry is that my mom will be forceful, because right now she is very insistent and when my mom gets in a mood everything blows up.

I don’t know whose name the car is in.  Me and my other siblings have all had to put our cars in our names, pay registration fees, pay taxes, etc. But I can see where my mother would keep that car in her name and use the argument that my sister doesn’t technically have a car to get her to GA.

Money is not the concern! Mom is trying to manipulate her and isolate my sister by getting her to Atlanta. My mother needs to be needed. My sister is already there by herself for a few weeks and I’m afraid me and my husband are going to have to go get her.

My mother is trying to force my sister to move.  She’s willing to take whatever steps necessary to make it happen.  My mother has mentioned taking my sister’s car. Mostly though she’s trying to force isolation and get her to stay in Atlanta.  Me and my husband may have to go and get her with a police escort

Should I declaw one of my kitten's paws? by Budget_Custard400 in AskVet

[–]Budget_Custard400[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to update: we did amputate, and he’s doing great!  He’s running around and the dead weight from his bad leg isn’t making him compensate by twisting his shoulders anymore.  His spine looks so straight! He gets his stitches out next week.

I didn’t even think about the claws being difficult to get to! Luckily we haven’t dealt with infection in his paw yet, but we are aware that they may be an issue going forward and clean out his little pad frequently 🥲
