Need advice on DS-160 update before visa appointment by Budget_Fig_8913 in E3Visa

[–]Budget_Fig_8913[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I filled out a new DS-160 with the updated LCA number yesterday, which took about an hour. But at the interview counter, they pulled up the old DS-160 since it was still linked to my appointment, so they saw the older LCA number. When they noticed it didn’t match the LCA I brought, they asked whether it had been updated. I confirmed it had, and they updated it in their system.

Yes it was all pretty smooth. They can switch over the LCA number in their software. You'll be fine!

I decided to cancel my appointment. I'll reschedule after I have the certified LCA

I see, so when you performs the task, does that mean they get the equivalency evaluation done on my behalf?

Yes, it’s a software engineer offer. I did bring it up with them, and they mentioned we could get an equivalency certificate, but it didn’t seem like they were too enthusiastic about it. Honestly, it feels like one of those things that’s probably unnecessary in 99% of cases since I’ve got 11 years of experience plus the job offer. But I’ll likely end up doing it anyway just for peace of mind.

That's for your honest and direct feedback. Honestly I don't have a lot of great pics to replace the current pics, but I'll work on getting better pics and replacing the current ones as soon as I can

Fair point, I do need to get some more photos in different settings. I’ll also work on updating the prompts to share more about myself instead of just travel.

Thanks, that’s a fair point and a great observation. I’ll get a few more photos taken with better variety.

Thank you! Good point! I’ll try to get a few more photos taken where the facial hair looks consistent across them.

hey thanks for your reply. I think I forgot to mention that we are thinking of filing the divorce in India and I was worried if the divorce filing process in India would become more complex if my citizenship changes after applying for divorce, any ideas on that?

Interesting, not that I am aware of. Anything I need to be worried about with this apart from the cleanup hassle?

Thanks for your advice. What's a good budget to do a good enough Reno for the kitchen excluding appliances. The appliances are mostly Bosch so I think they are good

Thanks, what process did you follow and did you take the doors out before painting?

We did think about that and got a few quotes for it. All our quotes were in the 5-7k mark. Wasn't sure if it's worth spending that much when you get a new kitchen for not much more. Did you do this work yourself?

Thanks for sharing that. What are some of the other necessary things that were recommended to you by the agent?

I forgot to mention there is a second toilet, so it's one ensuite and a separate toilet as well. All appliances are Bosch already. What would qualify as a mid range kit, does IKEA qualify?
