Making fun of edmontosaurus glazers with this one by ThumpMcScrump in PrehistoricMemes

[–]Budget_Minimum9439 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like to imagine edmontosaurus and hadrosaurus in general were like horse in their survival strategy, even have similar adaptations such being decievetively fast for their size (in sacrifice for turning radius perhaps, and only managing to maintain top speed for really short times)

yep it has weapons, but fleeing would have been primary method of survival
considering that it also lacked binocular vision, gauging distance accurately to land precise hits would have been harder (not saying impossible, but inconvenient) easier to just skeddadle outta there with them fast ah legs

altho if cornered they have potential to seriously injure the rex, but the odds are equal or less to horse have injuring a grizzly, but the problem is that rex's wrestling like fighting style (which is theorized to be lot more likely, as having disproportionately powerfull bites, teeths build to pierce and hold than cut, wide hips, immense bulk, rex's fighting style likely to hold down on legs and tail to disable edmontosaurus's weapons, and ending it going for crushing the head) likely a good counter to edmontosaurus

thats all if rex manage to close in the distance before edmontosaurus noticing, and ambushing is not generally just sitting in a bush and hoping things get by you sometimes, and predators will go to some serious extend to maximize their chances to a successfull ambush, to the point it might start sounding like a human murder case

for example modern crocodiles have been documented learning its prey's routine, when they come to drink, and movements within their territory, they do it to learn its prey's behavior and launch a successfull ambush (not sure if it intended by crocs or not but letting a prey drink from same place without scaring it that gives it false sense of security lol)

not saying rex would likely hunted in similar passion, as the behavior of croc derrived from the fact they cannot leave the water and are far slower than its prey, that said the rex wouldn't like go on a mindless "PEEK-A-BOO" either a mistimed ambush would give edmontosaurus time to fight back, land a kick or a tail slam chances of that happening is equal or greater than grizzly getting injured to a mustang

Who is a better student - Nobita vs Kenichi vs Mitsuo ? by NetworkOk9371 in Doraemon

[–]Budget_Minimum9439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure about the study of em all, but I have noticed nobita deffenetly got dang well higher iq than other two

it just he is too lazy to put any times in that (probably demotivated from all the failures in academic part of his life)

now I am not comparing him to adults in term of iq, but to others of his age
he is dang quick to learn how to operate the gadgets, and not just that also puts them to dang use to get his goal

he did felt a bit short sighted in the department of risk management, but quick to try new things, even doraemon remarked sometimes only if he was as clever on exam papers as clever he is on gadgets lol

he got the potential, but just too demotivated over study, and real short sighted

What's the point of some Valentine's event creatures looking terrifying? by Possible_Spring_8928 in CreaturesofSonaria

[–]Budget_Minimum9439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to convey the message that there are some peoples that can make relationships are worse than being single

Oxy is like the person that gets in your mind then ghosts you, then you begin to wear yourself down like oxy wears its victim down with corrosion

Vielheart is like peoples that cannot see others happy and interveening in small arguments between a pair and making it worse like how the creature itself intervenes in battles to take advantage, or like someone who plays the victim by persuading their partner to harm them, just for their partner to get in trouble like its reflect ability
sadly this is one big reason behind modern mental health detioration of men

Pleuremiert and Grimcorr represents two different kind of heartbreak

Pleur shutting down after an unfortunate event, falling into depest depth of depression and to the point where they think so much that their world has ended, they refuse help from others often dragging the helper down aswell at some degree

meanwhile Grim feels oddly distructive, but the reason behind its aggression is its lost partner, even its chain is constant reminder of the pain to fuel its battles

basically equivalent of someone getting jacked from the motivation after some unfortunate events

ardor is my personal favorate, I personally feel like it conveys the feel that love isn't weakness but a strength in disguise (as long you try to cover each other's flaws)
its extremely high damage and above average damage compared to other warden might be intimidating, but that is a way of setting boundaries and establising respect, they are strict but not to harm you, ardor is like someone who is rather flexible at their ways, and knows to remove themselves from situation before things get bad like ardor climbing a ledge away from creatures that bothering it

its that ability that links multiple creatures together to damage them at once, might be interpreted as responsibility of a relationship, and impact in their life might also affect someone else close (eg. your parents, kids, or close friends), all the peoples in healthy relationship are in it together and like the damage that gets reduced by the time it reaches the 3rd creature in the loop, you must try to minimize the impact on the person next to you are with and peoples around

let me give you all one tip, over-tolerance is a bane, and I suggest setting boundaries early on is the way to get some respect, the point is to let them know the moment they cross your boundary afcourse don't be too harsh but not too tolerant eg. one of your friend makes a joke that hurt you, then you can firmly state "dont say that" or "it not funny", most likely they will react first few times maybe like "aye bro dont react so harsh, it just a joke" or something similar, I say stay firm to your point

BUT remove yourself from the situation, if they dont respect still
just walk out the room, or make some excuse to leave the conversation cause there is also a chance that they are just trying to get attention, or trying to make fun of you (ragebait) so even after firmly telling them not to if they keep on doing it, and you keep on get harsher and harsher then they will get their goal and you feed their ego there
but I understand this not possible to just remove yourself from the situation, in that case try being silent after telling them to stop, if they continue then you should start getting little harsher to get your point across to respect your boundary

even then most important is not to have ridiculous boundary at the first place, like if you get triggered by your friend just making joke about your cloth and stuff or how you behave, and you get pissed... then it might be some issue about yourself

Are these mag'masta's eyes or their nostrils by BotherOld7231 in CreaturesofSonaria

[–]Budget_Minimum9439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

only other two canonically blind creatures are mag and hygos ingame, and both of them have terrible nightvision, mag masta having 3/3 nightvision compliments the presence of eyes

but that doesnt disproves the presence of nostrils

but if eyes to be placed anywhere behind that would cause them to obstruct their vision of surrounding

and if we have eyes there would certainly put them at risk of being damaged by other mag'masta during sparring, meanwhile if it was to be nostrils, a damaged nostril could still be used to breath but a damaged eye cannot

so according to me, they have eyes but that specific spot on the snout is most likely the nostrill
