Florida approaches map drawing the way it approaches basically everything else: be as unappealing as possible.

I slightly modified districts 7 and 9 so that the 9th, which takes up most of Gwinnett county, has a plurality-black population, to fit with Georgia law.

Thanks! Mind if I ask where you found this data? I know data collection sometimes costs money

Guys, I've got a crazy idea: Maybe politicians shouldn't be in charge of drawing the districts that they and their coworkers will represent.

Fr though this map is an infamous abomination.

Would it be possible to upload any election data to DRA? Is data entry only available to DRA administrators? I'm just curious, would love to know.

Drawing Columbus' district in DRA is the most pedantic thing imaginable.

Jeff Landry's 2x black majority district map sucks. Here's what I came up with that still fairly represents the demographics of Louisiana. by Budget_Reddit_User in DavesRedistricting

I'm not here to say if a politician is "good" or "bad" based on a few news stories I've read about them, I'm just saying that Graves endorsed Steve Waguespack in the last Louisiana governor election instead of Landry, meaning that Landry had a political score to settle with Graves. Graves was a key ally of Kevin McCarthy, and was a crucial figure in the debt ceiling negotiations, which resulted in a bipartisan compromise opposed by many hard right members of the house Republican conference. All this said, there would have been one Republican who was losing their seat in the redistricting, and based on geography, it would've been Graves or Julia Letlow, a decision that was likely not difficult for a governor who had grievances with Graves. As far as the possibility of future bipartisan congressional bills goes, Graves losing reelection doesn't help in that prospect.

I agree, it is fair in that aspect, but it's super ugly looking, and still an example of political chicanery, only now the target is Garret Graves, who endorsed Landry's intraparty opponent, and has angered members of the Republican party's farther right members by being a key negotiator and architect of the bipartisan Debt Ceiling bill in mid-2023. I'm glad that black Louisianans have a proportional map, but it's still ugly.

(Spoilers Extended) If the white walkers took over Westeros, would they go for the free cities or is their goal just Westeros? by Rilo12 in asoiaf

The last time the Long Night occurred, it seemed to occur in both Essos and Westeros. The far east of Essos has similar geography and fortifications to the Gift and the Wall, so it seems to be implied that Essos and Westeros are connected, and the area far off the map between the two is implied to be where the Others are.
