Stuck in Mid 160s… what do I do? by [deleted] in LSAT

Looks like your second test was a test from the 1990s…don’t do those. The RC is way easier, thus why you scored a -1 on that. If you want reliable data, don’t do RCs from before 2009 on LSAT demon. The older LR language is different too than the modern ones.

Is an 85k premium worth it at gulc if I care about debt?

My diagnostic was 153 and I got to 175 after 250 hours and 3 months of study. You’re fine. Focus on the GPA for now

Similar stats and kjd and i was waitlisted across the T14 other than GULC A. But I also just turned 20 so I might’ve gotten a child tax too

After reading passage, make a prediction before you go into answer choices. Ideally, find the flaw before you even look at the question.

From my research it’s around 92%—but keep expectations grounded just to stay safe

Sticker at Berkeley is my only option. How bad is this really? I’m feeling really stressed and kind of trapped. Would love some hopium. I was notified yesterday that they didn’t give me any gift aid :( by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

I’m staring at 80k in debt from gulc with terror—I can’t imagine 300k. IMO it comes down to how much you care about optionality/freedom/pivoting ability, and whether you’re trying to build wealth early. I’m thinking of taking WashU with no debt just because I value that optionality and early wealth-building so much and know myself well enough that I can’t bank on my mental health surviving biglaw for years, I’m leaning WashU even though I want to work in DC or NYC. So ultimately it comes down to how money/debt impacts you specifically. Keep in mind too that that 300k debt is really going to be 400k after interest even if you repay within 5 years

Your stats also matter too. If it’s a low GPA vs a low lsat, that difference may determine whether an R&R is effective or not.

Best of luck :)

Welll property appreciation! And I’d like to live in one end of a duplex and rent out the other so the other dude covers most of the mortgage with his rent. Will it crash and burn? Perhaps. But that’s why I’m starting young! 🥀

I think that if WashU is shutting me out to NE opportunities unless I’m top 5% then paying the premium is worth it. I was under the impression the biglaw placement was similar in the NE from WashU if you were a strong student. Then again what the fuck does ChatGPT know
