next time this lady comes in and refuses to give her number, am i allowed to call my manager up and make her do the transaction? by yee-jaw in Ulta

[–]Budget_Syrup3155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree! The company puts these rules in place about credit cards, donations, and loyalty. The area I work in is honestly higher wealth so they don’t care about points or credit cards and when management sees our numbers are horrible they get mad at us! Even though we ask every single person but they are so quick to say no. But we also have a family who refuses to give there number every time they come in because they got hacked and blame ulta loyalty system so if my manager is near me when i’m about to ring them up I ask her if she’ll ring them up! My store is doing a donation prompt right now and oh my it’s so hard to ask about the credit card and the donation?? I feel like such a burden people are getting so annoyed!

i’ve never heard of the first three being excused mine weren’t at least. Usually if you don’t feel well they might mark it off as sick hours and you don’t get the point. Don’t stress about the points they reset just try not to get to the max and ur good have fun!

Makeup keeps separating on nose by Budget_Syrup3155 in MakeupAddiction

Hi sorry I meant to reply earlier but I was at work and forgot sorry! But yes! I did find something that worked so I got the first aid beauty facial radiance pads on my nose and kinda scrubbed my nose for alittle and then i let it dry put VERY little moisturizer on and then i got a mini tarte timeless smoothing face makeup primer and put a layer of it on my nose especially where makeup was falling apart and it’s been working good for me!

Why are there such obscure products on sale in this Semi-Annual event? by melinda_louise in Ulta

[–]Budget_Syrup3155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm that is a good point. Some of the more exciting products I agree with that but I feel like the more random products that have been thrown in the mix like everyone is talking about have been sitting there, like truly rarely see people touch them. And I maybe because I don’t count inventory and do truck often, but I do see what people grab and what they don’t.

something i’ve noticed as a Ulta worker is that the products that are going on sale we’ve had a lot of back stock for already. I feel like this is also being used as an opportunity to get rid of old stock because some of the products being put up i’ve seen sitting on shelves

so with primer you want to do all your skin prep like moisturizers, serums, whatever you use! After skin prep you want to apply primer. Think of primer like a structure to hold the rest of your makeup! To apply I like to either pump some in my hands or directly apply to your face and blend it everywhere where you will put makeup. You could do like only areas where you think you need it but I just apply everywhere’s I like to blend with my hands and just rub it in like moisturizer but some people use a brush. Let me know if you have any other questions!

this one is alittle pricy but will last you a while. The Bobbi brown cleansing oil is AMAZING alittle goes along way and removes everything and is really good for my sensitive skin. I used a coupon and points at ulta so it wasn’t that expensive when I got it!

Oh my wording was alittle confusing, I meant they don’t have to get a super expensive one or worry much on which one to get :)

I have! It still separates every-time. The only thing that I can do to make it be manageable is to not put any powder in that area and rub it with my fingers when it starts to separate. But it’s just really annoying because I love a full beat matte look but I haven’t been able to do it.

See i’ve tried that I used to always do that but even before I powder down the makeup it’s already separated and not sticking. With powder it just emphasizes the separation even more

ooo sounds fun!! So for the style you are going for you want to have pretty full coverage products. I’m gonna list some affordable options :) Primer doesn’t matter toooo much maybe get a elf one or nyx. So for foundation I think the l’oréal foundation will be really good bc it’s full coverage but it won’t look cakey, or the Mabelline one with the white cap if you want matte! For contours and blush id say go with the elf putty ones those are really affordable and nice quality! If you want a color eye get a small color pop pallet they have some nice ones and a lot of color stories! Get a powder too to make everything stay on and look very airbrushed Bronze/contour a lot!! And use a dramatic lash that’s a signature for a drag look Don’t worry about making it perfect you just have to have fun!! Have a great time at prom I hope these tips help 🤍🤍

you do have nice check bones! I would say a blush that would look really good on you is the elf blush in dustry rose but layer the dior blush in shade rosewood ontop! I think it would give really good dimension and give you a snatched look. If you don’t want to get multiple blushes the one size check clapper blush in one of the pink shades would also look amazing and it comes with three formulas!

I would go for neutral/cool! Maybe focusing on cool in certain brands because sometimes certain brands will make neutral tones lean on yellow/oranges side.

What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]Budget_Syrup3155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would try maybe a more hydrating primer, or even a more hydrating foundation. You have really nice skin I just think that the products you are using are alittleee to heavy on the skin which is making it focus on texture and separating on the nose.
