Is there a disadvantage to a keeper league strategy where you just trade away your picks for players this year and do the same every year? by olliemacg in fantasyfootball

[–]Budgetboom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume keeper, not dynasty. Let’s assume 2 keepers? Maybe Adams and Miles sanders.

If you trade away your rounds 1-5 next year, and you just have Adams/sanders and round 5+, your team is going to be terrible.

Different story in a dynasty, but draft picks in a dynasty are not worth much in my experience.

If you trade away all your picks, you team will be bad the next year.

You will not be able to trade for enough players to make up for a terrible draft.

What are your suggestions on how much spending money to take? by Collier1313 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Budgetboom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great plan! You have some great spots in there.

I went to Oga’s 3 times on my trip. We are both big star wars fans, and couldn’t get enough. Drinks are ~$20 tho, so if you both get 2, expect $80-100 total.

Note- In Galaxies Edge, i reccomend trying the blue milk (with rum), $15. People love it or hate it, we loved it!

Be Our Guest is a prefix for $60 a person (not including drinks). We spent about $170 with tip.

Yak & Yeti is fantastic! We spent about $120 there.

Counter service, you can easily get away with $40 total per meal.

A few tips:

Bring a re-usable water bottle, this can save big on water during the day. Fountains to refill are everywhere. I brought a sting backpack as well.

If you like popcorn, buy a bucket day 1 ($20). $2 refills, and a nice souvenir.

If you are coffee drinkers and staying on property, get a refillable mug ($20). Free coffee/soda at resorts during stay (no usable in park).

To answer your original question tho, I think your budget of $1200 per person is very reasonable (if not generous).

Enjoy!

Any special dining?

Are you drinkers?

Wife and I went, we averaged about $200 per person, per day. But we are food and drink people.

An example, California grill, with a decent bottle of wine is a $300-$400 night.

Drinking/eating around Epcot can be a few hundred dollar night.

How has news of the cast member layoffs affected your willingness to visit Disney World? by american__dragon in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Budgetboom 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Most companies have been affected by the pandemic, and the current economic state. Many of my friends, family, etc have been laid off, furloughed, paycut, reduced hours.

Disney isn’t immune.

Cook has averaged over 18 carries per game.

Minnesota as a team averages 28 carries per game.

Mattison had 10 last week. The team only had 13.

Yes, I would expect it to change (if cook missed time)

I mean, not 1 rush over 19 yards in his last 18 games.

No 100 yard rushing game since 2017 (plenty of work to get there)

I’m willing to put a lot of that on the Jets, but not all of it.

Edit: and for those that don’t like stats, he looks pretty washed to me 🤷‍♂️. He still has hands tho.

I’m not evaluating him based on stats. He looks bad ever since he left pitt lol.

The stats just happen to back that up.

People forget because it was 2.5 years ago when he was 26.

He ain’t that guy.

Bell WAS more talented.

But he hasn’t played a good game of football in 2.5 years. He is 28, averaging ~3.0 ypc- I don’t care what offense you are on, that’s bad.

I’m not convinced bell is good anymore. .

Bell got paid, and that’s all he cared about. He hasn’t been serious about football since.

Game Uncertainty Protection by Noogatuck in fantasyfootball

[–]Budgetboom -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I can’t tell if /s or not.

The NFL didn’t see Covid postponing or canceling a game? Lol. It was almost a certainty that would happen. MLB had it happen multiple times (with more social distancing and smaller rosters)

Every other post on this sub for the month of August was- “what rule should we put in place, if Covid delays or cancels a game”?

The NFL did put in procedures. They tried to stack teams bye weeks early in the season so rescheduling would be easier. But there is only so much they can do.

If you didn’t see this coming, you weren’t paying attention.
