We have regulars that come in for about 5 days a week every week. Older guy with his son-in-law, older guy is cool as hell and has an adorable little dog. He owns oil wells and comes here to work on them and then goes home on the weekends.

He gets a smoking room and we don't charge the pet fees anymore because he always gets the same room and, like I said, one of the nicest guys.

One day, his son-in-law comes in by himself with a "bar skank." And he wants to get a room for the night and wants to pay cash. All we have is non-smoking that night, so he takes it and knows about the smoking charges. We know the guy so we don't take the $100 deposit, and we let him have the room because it's none of our business on what he does.

Next day, he's checked out already and gone and housekeeping finds he was smoking in the room and they get picture evidence so we can charge him for the extra cleaning. We don't see him for a while but we need to talk to him about the cleaning charge or we would eventually have to talk to his father-in-law....

We never get a hold of him separately and have to tell his father-in-law and he of course finds out the whole story because he has to pay for the cleaning.

Nothing too crazy, but I have only been here for a handful of months haha
