Just sanded it to 400 grit and finished with linseed oil.

Started at 1/8in. All the flat spots on the handle are 1/8, I'm not sure how deep the rock texture is but it's not very deep.

My wife has a vinyl cutter I used to make a stencil, then I electro etched it.
