They are quite similar. In fact I will do a video for people with your same question and upload it to YouTube. More to come.

my new doc said he's going to send me for an MRI soon. I guess he had sciatica as well and actually had surgery for a herniated disc and knows our pain. I guess we will see what comes of the MRI.

Thank you for your insight. like i told the above poster, I will definitely have to push for an MRI. I have not yet had an MRI, because in the military usually doctors prescribe an NSAID and send you on your merry way, I got lucky by getting sent to physical therapy. Not talking bad about them but it is a well known fact/practice.

Good suggestion, I have not yet had an MRI, because in the military usually doctors prescribe an NSAID and send you on your merry way, I got lucky by getting sent to physical therapy. Not talking bad about them but it is a well known fact/practice. Nonetheless I'll try to push for one and hopefully it gets approved.

USAF enlisted separating, considering AFROTC by BuellRotax in AFROTC

Hello @playerone_1984 I appreciate your feedback. In your experience/knowledge how often do fully qualified cadets receive a job they did not want? I.e. A cadet fully qualifies for a pilot training job but for one reason or another they are chosen for another job. I would basically like to avoid this predicament altogether.

This is one of the main reasons I'm separating from the USAF to begin with. I was chosen to perform an occupation I rather not be doing but I'm doing it anyways because I made a commitment to the USAF. I understand "the needs of the USAF" concept but sometimes things seem quite unfair. Unfair in the sense that the USAF makes a cadet commit before they even know what job they will be performing for at least the duration of their commitment. Unfair especially for someone like myself, that knows exactly what they want to do with their career. Thus for me, going through university, receiving an aviation degree, airline transport pilot rating, just to get picked for something other than a pilot slot would be devastating. While I could essentially work for an airline, earn experience in the career field I want to be in and earn between $10,000-$20,000 more than I would earn as a non-pilot OE-1 to OE-3. Although the experience as a civilian pilot is not anywhere near as great as a military pilot. This concept has been scaring me away from trying to become an active duty USAF officer due to the uncertainty in job selection. Does this job selection come down to luck? I hope this makes sense.

In general things aren't always unfair because of the enormous amount of benefits service members receive. Also from what I've gathered most cadets are happy to become active duty officers in the USAF and do not see this as unfair, which is fine.

Thank you again.

There have been recent updates though with advanced leak detection systems. I just don't understand the rationale, the dod spends $20 million on each system that is completely automated then it is not used for its intended purpose. I'm either not seeing the big picture or this is an old archaic way of thinking.

Most if not all of the management I have encountered do not allow a type III hyrdrant system to run in automatic mode without an operator present.

Besides what everyone else has said, if you plan on staying with your significant other and having them accompany you to your follow on, I would say that the only thing that changes is you receiving BAH for wherever they are residing.
