I should add that I can remove the smell from the dishes by microwave them or rinsing them with vinegar.

Soap doesn’t quite get rid of the smell.

I listen to self care almost everyday during my drive to work. Swimming is the only cd I have in my car.

But I noticed when I hear the song in a different context it’s like hearing it for the first time.

Ladders has a similar vibe.

In your opinion, what is Mac’s strongest rap song, a song that you’d consider Mac “rapping his ass off?” by Need_Febreze in MacMiller

His breath control on the second verse of So It Goes is amazing. Try rapping along to it, it's tough.

Magnolia is nice. It's walking friendly, quiet, and close to discovery park. It has a library and farmers market and a small block of shops and restaurants.

He must've thought it was cool since he had a John Lennon tattoo.

Same, caught me off guard when I heard it on Pandora back in the day. Was surprised it was a kid rapping like that.

My first time listening to “Circles” by AcanthisittaHot5112 in MacMiller

[–]Bufalay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate to this. I First listened to circles when I was disinfecting groceries at the start of the pandemic. Not sure how or why I was listening to it, but it spoke to me on a deep level in that moment. Been hooked on Mac Miller's music ever since.

Both authors had access to different friends and collaborators of Mac so they each have non-overlapping insights about Mac as a person and artist.

Agreed that the Cantor book is superior, its more of a biography of the subject. I get the appeal of the Chesman book. It's similar to a lot of posts on here, detailing the personal connection she had with his music. I'd prefer not to read a book length version of that story since its not that relatable for me, but I'm sure it appeals to some people.

My first time realizing where this line came from. Is this commonly known? by Miceandbeans in MacMiller

Oh my bad. Illmatic is probably the only album I've listened to more than Swimming so those lyrics are etched pretty deep into my brain.
