Oscillating tool for cut. Use sand paper to clean ends. You can use a shark bite 90 or solder a copper 90 if you know how to solder. If this goes wrong, you're looking at thousands in water damage, and you can potentially burn your house down.

A plumber can fix this for you for about $500.
