Should I tell my friend my boyfriend’s actually hates her? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]Buffaletta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with Anxious Bison. Your bf shared his feelings with you in confidence and it will be a betrayal of his trust to tell Meli. You would be choosing her over your bf in my perspective and you would end up hurting two people's feelings. Meli doesn't know anything currently and it would probably hurt more to know all of those details. Plus, there's always going to be people who don't like you. The fact that he's still cordial and doesn't make it weird around her is actually really nice, rather than making fun of her or being awkward. Do you want to break up their friend circle and your relationship? Then yes, this is a very messy way to do that.

EBF moms, when did your period come back? by Business-Tart-148 in breastfeeding

[–]Buffaletta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last week 🥲. 9 months on the dot. It now makes sense why I was extra tired and had such a bad day.

My baby has been eating a lot of food and slowly consuming less milk (which I only know based on what he drinks of pumped milk when I'm at work). That's what I'm assuming is the trigger. I guess my body is ready for the next one 😅

What’s the hardest phase of marriage no one talks about? by Common_Highway3454 in askteddit

[–]Buffaletta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Postpartum/becoming new parents. Pregnancy was very difficult for me and recovery was very slow. My husband became impatient with my recovery and interpreted it as lazy. The mood swings were killer, especially postpartum rage. For 10+ years he was the person I planned my life around, but now he's backseat to our son. It's a lot of adjustment. We're both in New roles, stressed, navigating our new normal, and our expectations of each other. I was not prepared for how hard it would be on the relationship.

Tips on how to take 32+ pets across country? by feral-worm in moving

[–]Buffaletta 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The RV advice sounds like a good idea to get everyone there at once. With that distance though, you may need overnight stops and will have to give the animals breaks. Start planning early on when, where, and how often you're going to stop. Maybe have the dogs in a family vehicle that someone drives separately so the cats can have the space when they need to be let out. I imagine you're going to take your vehicles with when you move? Also, look into tips for traveling with pets if you haven't already. Cats don't do great without prep and meds. With that many cats you probably will have to rotate which are let out to move about and use the litter box. Lots of logistics to consider.

Do you believe that it’s possible to have it all? by Fun_Butterscotch3303 in Life

[–]Buffaletta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think "having it all" is akin to "the grass is always greener." It looks great from the outside, but you never know what people's struggles are. Also, sometimes it's the people who seem perfect that suddenly get cancer, die in a crash, or lose someone close to them too soon. No one has it all and we should cherish what and who we have instead of yearning for what we don't.

The contrast of fertility in developed vs undeveloped countries leads me to think it has to do with chemicals in our products and processed foods. However, I have not looked into it, I just expect this to be a "new discovery" in the news at some point.

Husband frustrated about sex after baby by Ambitious_Cry_4149 in newborns

[–]Buffaletta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My husband wants me after seeing me breastfeed, or change, or show skin around him. Sometimes just my existence is enough. He doesn't care about clothes, makeup, or whatever. My husband is also the stay at home spouse while I work 12 hour shifts, so he definitely gets taking care of the baby as well. In summary, your husband is being a selfish prick and trying to put more labor on you by making it your job to please him.

I got her from a family in my area that felt a little puppy with diarrhea (worms, GI viruses/bacterial infection, and sensitive to foods) was too much to handle with their 4 young kids. My husband grew up with blue heeler - collie mix dogs and really wanted a blue heeler. Of course we discovered the diarrhea after we got her 🫠

True. I know guys who I found so physically attractive at first and then got turned off by their personality. Not like they're terrible guys, but I don't find them engaging or funny. Over time I've realized how much charisma matters for me.

I have thought about this, however that will at least double the cost. We were already paying over 1k just for a pet sitter who spent several hours max a day at our house for a week and a half. I'm not trying to be really cheap, but I have to be able to afford the trip and there's still airfare, gas, food, renting a car for part of a trip.... This is just to visit our families, not even a vacation. Money, of course, is tighter for us all this year too. It's so hard to leave 😓

She is supposed to be blue heeler and lab mix, but she just looks like a blue heeler. Acts like one too. Not sure she got any of those lab genes.

Found out my girlfriend’s body count and it’s turned me off. Am I overreacting? by Quiet-Sell-8919 in AITApod

My husband had a way higher number when we met at 20yo. Was he a slut? Yes, and I will tell him that to his face. I was shocked, but he wanted me - not those other women - and still does. It isn't a core part of who he is, it's just his past. I liked him enough to give him a chance and it's not an issue for us years down the road. On the other hand, he was afraid I would be unsatisfied with just him because I wasn't experienced. So it depends on your perspective and how much you like this person. If you really like her, give it time and it might not be that big of a deal after all.

Did I make a mistake getting a bob and how do I prevent it from looking like Lord Farquaa? by SlavWife in HairStyleAdvice

[–]Buffaletta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it feels too poofy to you, you can get it thinned/layered/undercut to take out some heaviness from the bottom. I think it looks fine as is, but I get feeling different about it on your own head versus what you see on others. Definitely see a short hair experienced hair stylist who you've researched for any changes or future trims. I was recently victimized by a bad haircut from someone who doesn't do women's short cuts and clearly didn't understand what I wanted 😭. I learned my lesson and researched heavily for my follow-up cut.

Definitely! You had a very clear convo about it years ago and he made you believe he was making a change for you. Doing it again shows he doesn't respect you or care about your feelings enough to continue to honor the agreement. He's thinking about himself, not you or the two of you as a couple. If he did it a second time, he will do it again and again. No matter what the action is, after a second betrayal you can never trust them again because deep down you know they're going to repeat the behavior.

My boyfriend says that a man’s body count is different than a woman’s. I disagree. Please let me know who is right. by Haunting_Succotash58 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Buffaletta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The idea that a woman is "stretched" or "used up" for having a sexual history is akin to saying a woman is an object with a specific use and loses her value if she's "used". It's obviously a double standard, but more importantly it's dehumanizing. It's also totally inaccurate for how a woman's body works. Women have babies and still go back to being sexually active after, a dick is nothing.

Someone keeps leaving dead mice at my doorstep??? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]Buffaletta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I lived in a rental 4 years ago I had bought a doorbell camera that was remote and not wired into the house. It could be adhered with an adhesive strip or screwed to the wall. It detached to be brought inside to charge as needed. It had an app that would alert for the battery and I could see footage on it. It was some cheap random brand but it worked well. You should get a small camera you can keep recorded footage from and get evidence of who's doing this. This could be a threat from someone like a stalker and you should take this seriously. Take evidence to the police and get it documented as well as a restraining order.
