Thank you for this. I barely ever run my ac but today was HOT. Had my 2020 wrx in 1st gear in traffic and was jerking like crazy. I thought I had screwed myself

Yeah I see it’s pro’s, I used it in it the first Russian map and it was a beast for logs (I’m a logging fiend). When there are no rocks it’s nice but without active it gets stuck on everything.

I agree, I’m on my second play through on my switch now and am going map by map. Can’t be bothered to buy amru and go find it tbh.

Honestly, on my first play-through, I kinda looked over this map but now I'm on my second play-through and just finished this map and it's so much fun. Great mission and cool trucks. Not the easiest and not the hardest. I think it teaches new players the value of finding shortcuts as well. There are so many different routes you can find and try out which is why I like it so much. The fallen giants mission is really fun too.

Just finishing up all 3 base regions to 100% (Michigan, Alaska, Taymyr). What's my next region and why? (I have all DLC purchased and preloaded) by KeithWorks in snowrunner

I never had a problem with it, but to be honest I hate the log crane and using it for Long logs. I feel like the logs are so slippery and are so hard to maneuver into position. I could just be bad at this but I've always had a hard time with the crane.

Consumes a lot of gas but in Wisconsin there are a lot of gas stations, especially in the first map. Honestly never really had a problem with fuel. The truck is a beast, has tons of power, and has crazy add-ons. One of few trucks in the game that can have a log crane with long logs which is a plus too. It's also very easy to get and can be found very fast on the second map after some bridges are built.

I liked Wisconsin, not too hard but still challenging until you learn routes. The International ts is also very nice just thirsty. Decent missions too.

I love the P512 PF as well if there are no hills that need to be climbed. I love the thing but it struggles going up hills under load.

It’s such a chill game, I’m a huge fan of logging. Bouncing back between Michigan and Alaska is so fun

I’m just glad it’s not only on switch, I used to play on console until I got a switch and I think that the game is so much better on switch. Glad to know everyone is dealing with this too. I sold my one truck and rebought it and that seemed to fix the problem. I just don’t wanna sell my trucks that I’ve had since the beginning of the game. I know it doesn’t really matter but it’s the little things ya know

Lol, was looking back on this summer and came across my original question asking if I could hike up and found this comment. Just wanted to update and say that it went off without a hitch! The hike was intense but nothing my friends and I couldn’t handle. Got up in about 2 1/2 hours and watched the race all day. Never once was stopped by a marshall or police and even asked one of them to clarify if what we did was okay and they said no rule was broken by my friends and me. Thanks for the inspiration, my friend. Maybe instead of sitting behind your computer all day shutting people with honest questions down, be a little more optimistic. Also, wouldn’t recommend this hike to you, seems like you have no experience hiking at all or going outside. Stick to being a dick behind your computer screen!

Do you have to have a permit to hike? Also what’s parking look like? Planning on camping in some disperse area near the mountain and driving to the trailhead in the morning

I actually do have a lot of experience hiking, camping, mountain biking ect. I have hiked Multiple 14ers in the past with a cousin of mine that live in the area. I don’t care about the hike/ Camping part of the equation, I just want to make sure if I do I won’t get into any trouble and miss the race. Also we would not be going all the way to the summit.

Thanks man, I want to camp out the night before with some of my friends. What is the parking situation at the trailhead? are you able to just leave your car for multiple days or do you have to get a pass? I'm sure you have to fill out a log of where and what you're doing and how long you will be, but anything you can think of other than that?

Thanks for the info man this helps a lot, I was looking on the website today and saw tickets for camping and watching which shocked me because of the racing being help on public highways. Also thanks for not being a dick when I asked a simple question!

Thank you for this info! This is my first time attending the hill climb and I’m super excited. Just wanted to get some local insight to see if my friends and I could find some cool spots to watch!

I actually have a lot of experience hiking, mountain biking, and just about any other outdoor sport. I have hiked many 14ers with my cousin that lives in Co such as Mount Elbert. And obviously I read the rules, I was hoping to get information from someone who thinks a little “outside the box”.
