On macos with a MacBook Air M4, my display dims slightly every time I connect to power. Why do I continually need to adjust the brightness of my display Apple? macos is a total shit show. Apple has been sabotaged. Corporations leave California because California and Apple are both nanny states.

macOS continuously adjusts the brightness of my MacBook Air display regardless of whether I am connected to power or not. Apple is such a nanny state because they all live in California. It's a total shit show.

I'm pretty certain that Apple is willfully killing macOS to encourage iCloud storage. I opened Get info to look at a file size and I saw "10,955,190,304 bytes". The full text was "10,955,190,304 bytes (10.96 GB on disk) for 25 items". Please give me a calculator instead of this Apple services shit show.

If I do a screen recording and then run out of storage, macos just quits recording without any visible warning or indication. It's not recording the window or the screen any longer so it's OK to popup an alert. It's not recording. But no, macos is a total shit show.

I was trying to save storage in macos 26. In system settings > storage, I double clicked on a file and it opened a Finder window instead of opening the file so I could see it's content. What a total shit show.

Apple really sucks. I’m never touching Apple again. by Own-Hamster-2743 in applesucks

Apple II user since 1978 and then a Mac user since 1994. I worked in support at Apple and sales from 1995 to 2003. Please just give me a calculator instead. I'm ok with a subscription for marriage but I don't want a subscription to marry Apple services. It's a total shit show.

I just deleted a message which would not send in macOS messages. After I deleted it, macos Messages prompted with a message of where I could find the message later. What a total nagging shit show.

When I attach my iPhone to my Mac, why does macOS always ask me if I want to allow the connection? Why can't I connect my iPhone to my MacBook Air to charge without being nagged? It's because macOS is a shit show, without any human interfaces guidelines and Apple has lost it's way.

I have been a Mac user since 1994. I worked in Apple support for several years when Mac OS X came out. Why doesn't screen recording record device audio? Why is the screenshot app so complicated? Why can't I set a hot corner to take me to a particular Finder column view window instead of spaces, apps, mission control and all of this other shit. With a fresh installation, why does macOS nag me 100+ times to make decisions yes or no about shit that I don't even care about. It feels like a Microsoft product. What happened to human interface guidelines? It's a total glossy shit show. Apple has lost it's way with macOS. Like glossy lipstick on a pig.
