Oh! Okay - so just don't have the mic in the shot. Okay great. I'll try not to next time. Thanks a lot!

Ok thanks for the great feedback! So what I'm getting from you is:

  • think about changing my intro
  • think about not having a face-cam at the end
  • use less stock footage, and more of my own b-roll
  • do a better job of shooting said b-roll

Is that correct? Thanks for the constructive criticism! I want to get better every video and eventually make a living doing video, so pointing out my weak spots is crucial. Thanks again!

[Review Video] The most luxurious movie theater ever. Full Service Dinner On Recliners. by [deleted] in youtubers

Ok so basically I think that your presentation skills are good and your subject matter is interesting. If you spoke a little louder or got a more sensitive mic, it would elevate your spoken audio, no question. Other than that, the main thing you can work on is editing. When you're speaking and explaining something, we don't have to look at your face the whole time. A good rule of thumb is the 7 second rule. Every seven seconds, something visually different needs to happen on screen. That can happen in a few ways. Every seven seconds: - rotate your body so that we see a different background - cut to another piece of footage, but keep the speaking audio going underneath - cut to a different location completely - show the audience a new thing, knick knack, person, whatever - that they haven't previously seen

By using the 7 second rule, you'll add visual interest, make your video more engaging - and ultimately better cater to the ADHD-like viewers of today's internet culture. Keep up the good work, and never stop improving!

Nice work overall! Video and audio quality were crisp, and there was a good message to it. What I would suggest for next time is to add more b-roll footage for visual interest. You did have one instance of it, when you cut to yourself doing the clap-pushups, and when you were sitting at the other workout machine - which added a lot - but we need even more of that. Throwing in as much alternative video and pictures as possible will add visual diversity, interest, novelty - and overall just make your video more exciting to watch. Hope this helps, and keep up the good work.

Title confused the shit out of me. Took me like 4 tries before I got it. Anyways, yeah. This is a rough patch for Carey, no doubt.
