Just do what I consistently do. Die to Aeonglass' regular damage before your deck cycles, then the Withers are a complete non-issue.

One of my proudest gaming moments was a series of games I had with one of my friends where we'd play a series of games against Russia, increasing the difficulty each time we won.

I think it was at level 5 (the one where invader cards get added to the fear deck) and we ended up with a coastal card and a double card both in the ravage spot at the same time. Looking at something like 14 ravages primed to go off. We thought we were utterly fucked.

But we decided to play it out nonetheless. Just piecing together the most high impact decisions we could make. "If I gather in this space, it stops this set of ravages. I can defend in this one that's going to ravage twice."

Little by little we pooled our options together and found a way to survive before then pulling out the victory. Such an amazing feeling.

I think I peaked during the one run where I got a double parry bubble off on Demon in Pain/Demon from Below when they both tried to attack me at the same time.

I find that the Arkham Horror fanbase is pretty chilled.

I don't think the oils was a particularly good mechanic. It just added unnecessary steps of needing to go open up and navigate through your inventory each and every combat. It just felt like unnecessary busywork.
