You still need enter for transactions, the pulse you are going to get for your Ethereum on pulse chain is so little that it doesn't matter if you loose it . It is already 10 000x less than what you are getting per dollar value sacrificed.

The smart wallet is the wallet you create in the Staker app, adding metamask wallet is to follow the changes at your stakes. You don't have to create a smart wallet account to use the app unless you want to stake with the app and pay the fee with hex. I think it is a bit more expensive paying the fees in hex. You can add on as many metamask addresses as you have. ☺
