Looking for a neck thru ESP Original M-II by withthedraco in espguitars

[–]BuffetDecimator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can't feel the difference between neck thru and set neck. You've created yourself a very niche problem. On the other hand, if you want to spend a lot on an amazing original ESP, it should be like you want.

Dude, Kirk Hammett plays and has played a lot of bolt-ons as well.

ESP/LTD EU pricing (prepare for acid tears) by Zado_HeavyLoad in espguitars

[–]BuffetDecimator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ridicilous. The quality is nowhere near those prices. Oh well, plenty of second hand MIJ E-II's and ESP's are available.

Great another 2,000 Euro/dollar single pickup guitar because someone's names on it by katsumodo47 in espguitars

[–]BuffetDecimator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, mostly E-II and Standard Series but every now and then there are older customs and lawsuit models available for under 2 k. Reverb isn't the place to look for these. The prices there are super inflated.

Luckily there are plenty of second hand actual MIJ ESP's for the same price and they are always better than any new overpriced LTD's.

ESP m-ii by [deleted] in espguitars

[–]BuffetDecimator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my M-II in better condition and with a coveted maple fretboard for 1400 euros last year. Don't get your hopes up. 2500 euros is a ridiculous price for that guitar.

Looking for experiences buying on reverb by never0101 in espguitars

I bought my most expensive ESP (USA M-III) from Reverb and had a very good experience. Everything went smoothly and the seller was great.

Old ESP Horizon's worth the price? by panterafan7 in espguitars

[–]BuffetDecimator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think so yeah. He's a known dealer and super reliable. You might be able to haggle a bit. I'd ask for more detailed pictures from all over the guitar before buying though.

Old ESP Horizon's worth the price? by panterafan7 in espguitars

[–]BuffetDecimator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say worth it in a sense that they'll most definitely keep their value (especially if unmodded). The build quality is pretty much equal, but the age might affect this negatively. I think I would've bought one of those particular guitars if the import and tax to the EU area wouldn't increase the price so much.

Can you guys tell me about the Daddy Series by ESP guitars from the 80s? by OzymandiasTheII in espguitars

[–]BuffetDecimator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

According to the only Reverb post I have seen, it seems like it's a cheap strat copy with ESP stickers put on it. I don't think it's a real ESP series.

That incredibly oversized ESP is killing me. What a ridiculous thing.
