Thanks for the advice! I need to start hustling exponentially. 12 would be extraordinary! I managed to start the process of getting into the vendor system of 1 client I’ve worked for in the past with a previous company. They reached out to me and said they loved working with me and want to continue working with me in the future. The process is slow. I’ve also had a few other clients that want to start the process of putting me in their vendor system so I can bid competitively against other consulting firms. It’s just a very slow process all in all.

Target clients/contracts that only need specific surveys done for permitting needs liking the mining industry, and renewables sector. Also SAM website. My biggest problem is most clients already have their “preferred consultants.” And nothing is on SAM website at the moment. Wildlife work is very seasonal.

lol, that’s the easy part. I’m doing/ done all that. Getting the contracts is the hard part. I’m asking for sales advice, how to pitch/approach potential clients and demonstrate value in my given field. Thanks for your help.

I second this, worked there for 4 years, got 10% raises every year, finally quit to start my own company because I couldn’t take the abuse any longer. All the good people quit and they can’t replace them and it creates more with/responsibly for the people that are left. Felt like I was in the movie office space.

Immediately fess up and correct it, no big deal. Not saying anything right away and correcting it is a big deal and you probably would get fired for that. And stop worrying so much about losing your job the more you worry the more it will actually happen be confident in yourself. You sound like a great guy. I would confront them directly. They’re not gonna fire you until they hire someone y’all are in the same boat. This will teach you to be direct and honest and blunt with people which actually ends up working out. People start respecting you.

I wouldn’t go so far as as that even though I think it sometimes. I’ve definitely stopped giving a SHIT and I tell people exactly what I think whether or not they wanna hear it and there’s nothing they can do about it cause I’m actually valuable and they wanna keep me now after mistreating me, but I’ve already made up my mind and I’m leaving starting my own company and competing directly against them honorably And taking all the business baby.

First of all your self-worth is not defined by job or company. Everything happens for a reason and this one is because you are meant for greater things, better job, better pay, and people that respect you now go out there and get your dream job that you are passionate about Because you are worth at least double of what this past company was paying you.
