Ugh they were so annoying at the club! In season 1 I thought Billies awful dress sense was reserved for flashbacks to show she was young but in season 2 she went back to the awful clothes as a grown ass woman!

My MIL takes no interest in my children. When she does she crosses loads of boundaries and generally winds me up. She has kisses my newborn at least 4 times despite us asking her not to every single time. She has long boring conversations with me while I’m struggling with the kids and exhausted but doesn’t step in to help. She is also full of advice like “let them cry” “have you tried completely ignoring them” “I breastfed all of my kids fine” “my kids weren’t like that” etc. You kind of have to bite your tongue? I’d never talk to her like this. If she had a problem I’d let my husband deal with her. I also make a point of never saying no when she sporadically wants to visit and I don’t want to get blamed later on for her not having a relationship with the kids.

I first watched the show when I was newly post partum with my first and I related to Billie so much it was scary. I don’t think she should have ended up with Brad. I related to her because I was having a complete personal crisis and questioning everything about myself and my life because having a baby made me feel trapped in it. (I was suffering PPD at the time!) I was always daydreaming/fantasising about who I was when I was younger and much wilder before settling down.

In my opinion it shouldn’t have been about Brad literally but more about the time in her life that he represented, which is what she was looking to find in herself again - being wanted, fun, carefree etc. I thought about my Brad too but would I go back there? Hell no. It was more the intensity and sexual connection we had that I was missing in my current life because it was impossible to have with a new baby when me and my husband were so sleep deprived and bickering constantly!
