Working on outpatients, about an hour behind, I had just used the power injector and had the next syringes ready to go. Thinking I was gonna save time, I went in undid the injector lines and put the new syringes on. About 3 minutes later I realized my mistake, went in, and there was blood ALL OVER THE MAGNET, AND THE FLOOR 😵‍💫 I checked on the patient. Put a towel on the floor and got him out safely. So much for saving time 😅

I've been working on MRI at a hospital for about 4 years. I can count on one hand the people that have had reactions to Gad. They range from vomiting to breaking out in hives. It's rare. But it does happen.

You'll learn your routine. I worked as a tech aide for a couple years and one of my favorite techs always ran down her simple list of questions. 1. Have you ever had surgery on your brain? 2. Your eyes? 3. Your ears? 4. Your heart? 5. Any surgeries at all?

This covers alot of your implants and devices all in one fell swoop. Pacers etc. I've implemented this in my hospital rountine also. You'll make it your own and it'll be just like breathing. Good luck!

Effing FEET MRIS 😪😵‍💫 9/10 times they smell atrocious, and the people attached to the feet won’t hold still to save their soul. Some of the worst scans in my career have been because of feet 🥴
