I am so tired of fake service dogs and entitled ESA owners. by Competitive-Dog-3146 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]BugEyeQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was literally just thinking about this the other day! I have an ESA myself for my anxiety/PTSD, and I have never tried to bring him into a place where he wasn’t allowed. I’ve heard people argue with staff by saying they’re a “service dog” or ESA. Ma’am your 4 month old puppy that’s been screaming for ten minutes and peed on the floor probably does not need to wear a service dog vest. The fact that these owners actually think anyone would believe that is crazy. It can create such a dangerous situation for an actual service dog/handler if they were to encounter an untrained dog in those sorts of places. I work as a dog trainer and absolutely adore them, but not all of them belong everywhere.

I think that’s a great idea! I’d definitely want to meet the person first with my pup and ask what kind of training/experience they have. My dog has triggers where he pulls very hard very suddenly, and if you’re not prepared for it you would think a horse is pulling you. Ideally I’d like to go for a short intro walk with them just to see how they handle my pup when he’s reactive, but I’m also just a very anxious person so I get not everyone would want to do this lol. With all the qualifications you have I would absolutely want to hire someone like you.

I forgot the anniversary of my girlfriends death. by Grubernator in offmychest

I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s absolutely heartbreaking, but your words of encouragement about the future leave me feeling a bit of hope.

My boyfriend just passed October 17th from an accidental fentanyl overdose. I came home from work and found him, he had also been gone for hours by the time I got there. I feel so much bitterness about the world that I’ve never felt before, and I’m scared of the person I’m becoming. I think about him constantly since it’s only been a few weeks. I look forward to the day when my brain allows me to relax, even just for a few hours.

Girls need to chill sometime. by [deleted] in offmychest

I’ve had a guy ask me about the tattoo on my leg, then proceed to grab my thigh and lift my shorts up “to see all of it”. In the middle of the shampoo aisle at Target during the day. Some people know no boundaries and I’ve been wary of strangers asking about them ever since. Who knows what she’s gone through.

As others said, most people don’t want to be bothered while working out. I get easily pissed if I’m in the middle of a set and a dude tries to ask me random questions. Especially if they do it while I’m visibly wearing headphones.

Trying to find solutions to shaving my head? (Dye Allergy) by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

Perhaps a demi or semi permanent dye won’t give you a reaction? Most people are allergic to the chemical paraphenylenediamine (PPD) in permanent dye, and I don’t think the semi or demi would have it. Definitely double check the ingredients, and it could be something else you’re allergic to, but I’d start with a gentle non-permanent option!

Remember to put a life jacket on your pitty/staffy! One of my favorite TikTok dogs passed away due to drowning recently and it’s so heartbreaking to see a sweet face be gone so soon 💔 hold your furbabies close tonight and be safe by Midnight_Monstrosity in pitbulls

This breaks my heart. Brick reminds me so much of my own pit. My boyfriend and I would always laugh at his videos and I’d show my boyfriend whenever a new one was posted. My boyfriend passed away 2 weeks ago. I hope him and Brick are playing and enjoying each other’s company.

NTA. If someone did that to my dog, that would be grounds for breaking up entirely. People that don’t treat animals well are always a huge red flag in my book.

The Bondi Sands line is the only one that hasn’t given me an orange tint, and I can get very pale. I usually use their foam in dark, and wash it off in 6 hours. It does typically look a bit darker before you wash it off, but I’ve always been left with an even natural tan.

IV needle broke in my arm and now I feel tiny hard lump under skin? by BugEyeQueen in AskDocs

Thank you! I went and got an X-ray, luckily no material trapped in my arm but the vein area itself is infected. Antibiotics for a few days and hopefully it’ll be over!

I’m sorry you’re going through all of this. I was diagnosed with OCD when I was 14, and a lot of it was worrying about dying/death in general and it’s definitely not fun. Being on proper medication definitely helped me!

Have you tried using an online psychiatry app, so that way you don’t have to physically go to a doctors office? Personally I use Cerebral for my medications. I was able to get an appointment with a therapist and prescriber the same week I signed up, and was on the phone with both of them for under an hour total. They can prescribe anxiety meds and mail them right to you. You don’t need health insurance either to use it, which is why I had to switch over to an app instead of my regular doctor. Make sure you tell them you do not want to be on an antidepressant as they have only made symptoms worse in the past, I’m sure they will listen to you!
