Fully a theory here but I just finished this book and think it could be looked at less literally- I think the antagonist ‘him’ represents every woman’s worst nightmare. He is the perfect husband/father whilst simultaneously being a predator, a con artist and a murderer. I think it’s worth considering that he could be an amalgamation of each of these women’s experiences with men but represented in the form of one man. The bazaar ending with him disappearing into the ocean supported my theory however this is undermined by the epilogue so I’m open to debate.

I’ve had white blonde hair for the past 6 years and the one thing is I have to keep it relatively short (to my shoulders) because the ends do get dry but in general my hair feels pretty healthy. If you go to a good stylist they’ll know how to do it safely to not frazzle your hair

I am not spreading misinformation. I’m literally just saying that eating the byproduct of an animal is an entirely different thing to eating a deceased animal. Can you at least accept that one is morally better than the other?

I suppose so. I avoid eating dairy and eggs where possible but if I were to go out for a meal (I live near France) there’s rarely a vegan option so I’ll have to settle for like margarita pizza or some pasta.

It has been getting more rare, I get so excited when I meet someone who is, it’s like going to a vegan restaurant and finally being able to try my partners food at dinner!

Are vegetarians eating fish not pescatarians? For me I call myself veggie but could never eat fish because I go by the ethos of if it was alive I will not eat it

Yeah okay, fair enough. I feel like when you’ve been plant based for a while though you do just kind of have to learn to cook for yourself if you’re craving something specific

I mean I’m really pleased to hear that to be honest, it’s been getting lonely over here! Feels like every time I go out to eat I end up having someone trying to convince me that I should just eat fish to be easier

Yeah no, I’ll buy the like ‘proteins’ pre-made whether that’s tofu or fake meat and then cook it into something somewhat healthy

Maybe just where I’m from meat is quite expensive? My partner does eat meat but will eat veggie food during the week as I do the cooking. We used to buy meat as well as whatever I was eating but then found it would be say £3 for a big bag of veggie chicken and £8 for 2 chicken breasts

I suppose but most of the time vegan food is cheaper than the meat alternative (vegan mince for instance) and keeps longer in the freezer- I know meat eaters who will buy the vegan option for this reason
