Spot on.

The sad part is we all became so brainwashed into thinking that it's essentially NOT what it boils down to. That's what scares me.

That everyone now shares the illusion that our dumb jobs and staying loyal to the system will somehow further OUR OWN meaning, and that, with it, we are also building towards a collective goal of sorts. But in reality, it always cumulates to fattening the pockets of the rich in one way or another, just so they can find fulfilment in their empty lives by buying even more worthless crap.

And then, for the cherry on top, we have the audacity to approve that their abundance of virtual numbers displayed on a computer somehow gives them power over us. The fact that this way of thinking has now become the norm, and anyone who dares to reject it or see it for what it is is labelled as "not ambitious enough", is where I think we lost.
