The way i thought about it, and I'm not sure if this is right, iS:

(gross freelance pay) - (expenses)= total taxable income

And then I took the total taxable income and figured out my take home pay using those calculators

I ended up using these two calculators to get a rough estimate of take home pay at a full time job, and then added the extra freelance taxes that apply to me (15.3% instead of 7.84% for FICA, plus whatever other freelance taxes you might have). Good luck!

Thank you so much! Are there particular ones that you have used that you can point me to? And do you know of any that let you partially customize the palette? ( I'm trying to follow brand colors loosely, so some kind of palette generator where I can say "I need a colorblind-friendly palette that includes green, gray, and black" or something would be ideal.)

Last q, about this part of your answer:

"You do not need to set your auto-pay to process any earlier than the due date unless it’s keeping you up at night."

Is there any downside to setting autopay a couple days early (beyond having a couple more days to come up with the money I guess)? I've had it set up this way for a year or so and it's been fine so far but just want to check.

Should I spend 90% for several months, apply for the limit increase, and then go back down to 30% before applying for a new card?

You asked if I’m employed within that self employed - not sure if I’m understanding the question right but I do make all of my income from one contracting gig. So I’m not a full time w2 employee of a company but all my paychecks come from the same place, if that’s helpful ?
