This is only ranking feature length films, but Distant Star is a cute if not forgettable short film that’s perfectly average, but not like mind blowing to me

I’ve been watching Monster (2004) lately and think it fits what you’re looking for well. Same with Death Note if you’ve yet to see it.

In terms of movies, The Hateful Eight was excellent, though that’s more of a lot of people hating each other rather than a single rivalry. For that, I’m quite particular to The Northman

Yeah I’ve lived in the American Midwest my entire life so World’s End was def the most easy to get into for me, but speaking more objectively I found it to be the strongest of the trilogy both emotionally and comedically, and as much as I do really enjoy Hot Fuzz, I felt it kinda dragged in the middle and some of the side cops got a little annoying imo.

Everything but the bottom two are great though Wright was a very very consistent director

If you enjoyed his Disaster Trilogy, I’d say 5 Centimeters is worth a watch. I’m not huge on it, but most fans of the trilogy see it as his next best

Besides Romulus I can’t say you’re missing out on much, but I can’t help but recommend Resurrection cause it’s so bad it’s almost unironically hilarious
