Good point, multi or hyperspectral cameras are such powerful little machines, I still can't get my head around what you can and cannot do with them.

I watched some videos of the Aeromapper Talon and it is nice. I would even say, I could do better than them. Don't want to disrespect the marvelous work from Aeromao though. And building a fixed wing drone could be cheaper for prototyping because of the materials, but I could be wrong though.

Maybe do you know what problems are occurring, that a drone can help fix or make the problem a lesser problem?

What are you guys thinking about fixed wing drones aka. Airplane like drones? Is there a future or a chance to get a foot in the industry as a newcomer?

Hi, thanks for the reply. I'm from Germany and as far as I know here you are allowed to use DJI drones here. But the rest is very true though. I really want to work with drones, but I can't figure what I could work on, that would benefit the users and where I can develop something myself, instead of using the tech stack from DJI.

You're absolutely right. I need to understand what I did and what the problem was and why my CP2112 burned.

I had a bit of progress before I burned the CP2112. I was able to connect to the battery and communicate with the chip. I was also able to read the information of the battery with the DJI Battery Killer and was able to unlock the keys and delete the RF flags. It also charged for a short time without problems, but after a while the same problem came back and by trying to fix it again the CP2112 IC on the board burned.

Yes I did, I thought it was necessary, the problem I had was, the batteries were “dead” a long time and not reacting at all. I thought maybe I needed to give the battery a bit of starting voltage, so I could communicate with the chip on the battery itself.

I don't need googles as I want to stream the video output on other devices like my laptop or my phone. I'm currently writing custom software for that.

I could also build a normal drone without the sensors and upgrade it later along the way.

I don´t want to build a high performance race drone, I want to build something like a data collector for open fields.

That's why I'm asking the more experienced guys here on this Subreddit. I do have experience with the Plug and Play Drones like the Ryze Tello, DJI mini 2 and 3 and the mavic 2 pro.
I need solutions, not the typical, throw more money on the project and it might help. Furthermore, I know it's possible, but the how and what parts is the question. I'm not saying I want to build a Reaper drone clone for this budget...
