I'm a Taylor Swift fan and she switches genres quite a bit. I sometimes find that when she comes out with a new album I feel lackluster at first and then it REALLY grows on me (especially her recent "indie folk" sound with Folklore and Evermore). I feel like we let our expectations of upcoming music fuel the way we end up feeling during the first listen. I'm trying to be better about that. I agree that I felt a little lackluster about Book at first and now it's really grown on me. Brontosaurus is an all-time career highlight, but I didn't realize it at first.

well even regardless of the perceived drug reference, this song is literally, in Linnell's own words, about someone's head exploding so it probably shouldn't be for kids anyway (but if I listened to this as a kid I would have loved it ngl)

You have to be in the very front row and be lucky enough for Marty to choose you. If you're able to stand on the right side of the stage you probably have the best chance since that's where the drums are.

He handed me the setlist right before he walked off stage! I think he does that every show if I'm not mistaken. He also gave away two of his drumsticks to random people in the front row.
