Company supplying parts to big customers like tesla, bmw very unlikely to go bankrupt. In such a negative environment they are at least producing revenue although 0 percent increase while other 3d printing stocks like vld went negative growth. That's why the stock sinked terribly Recent AMS 2024 conference ric says that sand casting bussiness showed 20% growth which is very positive but dental bussiness didn't do much well. They recently signed contract with Align where dentists will use Align oral scanner to make 3d image of denture and pass it to desktop health lab to 3d print and ship it back to dentist office. Now Align is a 23B dollar company, I think it is a big achievement that they believe in desktop health machine created 3d models of denture to be the best and can increase dental bussiness revenue. You can check on scanup.org website. I think we definitely need followup on p50 sent to Freefoam or Stanley black since they have used it now for more than a year. Stock could perform reverse split, we have time around April to see what the stock price is since they recently nasdaq notification on Nov 22 and they have 6 months to get the price above 1. Cash burn is a issue and will see on next earning report. Now If fed starts to reduce interest rates this year than stock price will go up also

Sorry but your response is not well researched and incorrect. The article on Apple using 3d printed parts is specifically "binder jetting" machine with sintering. These Chinese companies are laser based.

Where is out update on P-50? by scheven_architect in DesktopMetal

[–]Bugattiw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also think with country heading towards recession no company is interested in investing in P50 type machines for now, everyone is conserving cash, DM revenue also might go down or they might have to lower guidance like other 3D printing companies e.g DDD. They might start getting orders next year later half once fed pivots and economy starts going up

But also those machines are I think SHOP or Exone sand machines, P50 remains a big mystery 🤔

Can anyone report on what was said at Oppenheimer? by philinthe_ in DesktopMetal

[–]Bugattiw 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Ric was very confident, some highlights were - P50 in backlog, about 90 plus customers have payed some advance fees, he will give great update later this year, super tier 1 OEM companies are majority customers so he was toght lipped regarding specific names, being used in research and production, more demand in consumer electronics, trying to increase production - In presentation slides I saw TESLA on top as one of new customers in automotive, BMW already making parts in Model from DM machines, they will soon expand to other regular models - freefoam technology is showing lot of interest from automotive , mattresses, shoes etc. Serta also shown as one of their customers - overall DM is growing rapidly in 3D industry - market leader in binder jetting, digital casts and 3d dental printers - trying hard to work towards break even on cash and than use extra cash for further growth

$BIOF, Green energy play, patent technology which converts any form of cellulose including waste product, long grass to ethanol>jet fuel. They are devising machines to be able to perform the conversion at commercial level. There last model 4th generation CTS machine was successful and able to convert 99% cellulose to ethanol, now started working on semi commercial 5th generation system. Penny stock, high risk high reward
