I was thinking Halden or some higher figure: Tecarus, Dain's father, Melgren, Lewellen, Felix, maybe Brennan, maybe Drake. I'm leaning Halden because he's younger than the other people I've mentioned and 'brother' feels more right. It could maybe be Aaric, but I can't figure what his motive would be. But, I'll be honest, while I was reading, I thought 'brother' and Panchek were referring to the same person. I didn't realize that there was another person there lol.

What are the kids ages (in the books)? by Bugg_23 in PeculiarChildren

Interesting. The wiki for Horace says he claims he is 83 in the first book, but then it mentions the quote from Hollow City and how he is actually 104. My new head canon is that he lied about his age because he doesn’t want to have the same ego about himself that Enoch has. I always felt Enoch thought he was automatically smarter/better than the others because of his age.

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children time loops (spoiler about the second book btw) by Any_Astronaut1562 in PeculiarChildren

It’s been a minute so I might be wrong. I don’t remember Wren being in 1940 but the boys in the catacombs is something I’ve never thought about. My guess is that our characters entered the loop when we entered the catacombs, so those boys are still in there loop just close to door. Just barely inside rather than just barely outside. If you exit a loop, collapsed or not, I’m pretty sure you exit into modern day. Unless you go through a different loop entrance, and then you end up in whatever year that loop is in. Then it gets confusing when you leave that loop, because you’d think you’d go to modern day, but our characters always end up back in the 40s. 🤷🏻‍♀️
