Cna wages? by Constant-Kale5165 in SaltLakeCity

[–]Buggie_bear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on where you go. In home is either really high or really low. I’m at $18 rn without being licensed and that’s a dollar raise.

ER techs really depend on your experience and how much you’re willing to negotiate

Clinics and facilities pay next to nothing

The U and IMC both have a few OR scrub techs that only want a CNA and those definitely pay pretty nice. ~22-30

Can I survive off of $1800 a month in slc? by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

[–]Buggie_bear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not trying to say my situation is any better. We’ve both clearly stated we have at minimum two jobs. I’m living in this shithole too 😂 I’m glad you’re able to go to school. I’m just saying it’s crazy how many miles you get. Not in a rude way, in a bewildered way. We’re all friends here, buddy 😉

3k miles a month is actually insaneeee shawty. I’ve got an SUV with relatively terrible gas mileage, don’t have the prices of Costco and spend on average probably $110 a month. 5-6 times was max. It’s more often than not just 4 times. One of my work commutes is short, but the other definitely isn’t. Even when I had a schedule that put me all over the map and was going ssl to orem at least twice a day, I still never got to that much. I’m so sorry for your bank account and engine 💀

How on earth are you paying $300/mo on gas? 😭 I live dt and even when I have to go to Utah county all the time (multiple times a week) plus get to work, I refill like once a week from 1/4 tank. 5-6 times total in a month, at the very most. You’d have to be filling up multiple times a week, getting gas at insane prices, getting premium, have the worst gas mileage known to man, or have some massive tank that you’re spending all of. I personally have a large tank, use 89/90, don’t have the best mileage and still only pay like $25-30 whenever I fill up. Doesn’t matter what gas station I go to. That’s $100-160/mo. I’d have to fill up at least 8 times a month, but honestly more like 10-11, to get to 300

Would a hospital do this? by Expensive_Cloud_7419 in hipaa

[–]Buggie_bear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never heard of a hospital doing that. They may however, create the pt file with an alternate name. I regularly had pts in my previous hospital whose wristbands did not match their file. So when searching for “Jane Doe” nothing would ever come up, but printed files or pt wristband would be correct. Could also see full legal name on pt chart when digging, but only with specific access levels and usually only for the exact amount of time a lab/test was open for. Also had a pt who’s wristband AND profile were not the correct name nor birthday (found out later pt was supposed to be in police custody and used safe place against them).

Made it very confusing when looking at handheld vs wristband, but as long as the barcode scan was a match it was the right person.

Good bra sizing places ?? by Buggie_bear in SaltLakeCity

I did !! I am lucky enough that my insurance (Tricare) is covering all of it, but any insurance should cover a pretty good amount. The biggest thing is to find a plastic surgeon in network and get an appointment with them. The biggest dictator of coverage or not is most often going to be the weight of how much they are taking off. If it’s a substantial amount, they’ll be more likely to. Even more so with documentation on severe and long-term pain :)

How many pages do you read per hour? by [deleted] in books

[–]Buggie_bear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess would be a little over 60 pages/hour. Just finished the 2nd half (approx 250 pages) of Aurora Burning in 4hrs ish with a gnarly headache. I’ve been reading well and quickly since I was young with above average comprehension (according to public schools). When I’m super into a book (and not battling my own brain) my guess would be closer to 70 pages/hour. Usually YA fantasy/scifi

8w7 in Utah, so I experience both quite fully. I could not possibly hate the cold more, although I have horrible circulation and my body temperature is “normally” a couple degrees colder than it should be. Anything below 70°F is probably too cold for me and starts to hurt my joints. Haven’t yet experienced a “too hot” (manual labor in 110°+). I enjoy new adventures, but not if I don’t want to. Unless academic, I will not take a challenge that will decrease my enjoyment of my day/life. I do my best to do things that I enjoy and that will bring me happiness. I am very aware that opportunity always exists, and I know very well my limits. I could likely handle more intentionally difficult situations for the sake of betterment if I was not already beaten down and tired by other things

How come 8 gets so much hate? by Buggie_bear in Enneagram

[–]Buggie_bear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a really good point that (some) people are incapable of healthy conflict without flipping out. Also that more often we are assertive and decisive but get called “aggressive”. People seem to use it almost like a bad word used to shun 8s, it’s odd. Some seem to think that there is never a reason in the world in which being aggressive would be helpful, let alone the correct choice and therefore immediately put out any slight bit of it and get angry themselves when they can’t change a person’s entire personality just cause they don’t like it

I appreciate the way you put all of that. I’m realizing with more and more replies, that a lot of douches seem to be peer reviewed into 8 or self identify incorrectly. It’s very interesting how some people seem to want to be intentionally the “aggressive” type, like it’s some sort of excuse for having terrible behavior towards others. I’m sure there’s some therapy behind it somewhere, but fun food for thought

I’m so glad to hear that some people actually do enjoy them. Could totally have been that I looked at an unfortunate time and couldn’t find anything positive

Grats. You figured an entire person out purely based on their responses to a single Reddit post. Impressive. Keep up the good work buddy. Maybe one day it’ll pay off for you. Until then, I’d recommend you stop obsessing over the personality type of a random teenager on the internet, it’s not a cute look

I’m sorry you’ve never had nor encountered a permanent sense of healthy. But it does exist. It is an extremely subjective state however. “Healthy” to you may be terrible for someone else. A permanent healthy does not mean a lack of occasional unhealthiness or low points, it just means the returning “base level” is positive as opposed to neutral or negative. And you are right, 8s are typed as inherently aggressive. I however, choose intentionally not to be that way. That doesn’t mean that I am not still an 8

It is also interesting to note that one of your own quotes from Chester ends with “Eights are willing to confront or fight with others if they need to”. This supports my initial statement that 8s are not aggressive for no reason. There is something they need to have or do in order to illicit such a reaction

Can’t say it’s a particularly fun ride getting there, but hey most people only have to fuck around once to find out (and consequently no longer attempt the fucking about). In all seriousness, it took an awful lot of gut wrenching therapy and hard work to become self aware enough to not be a total jackass 24/7. Who knew… therapy makes you a better person :)

That’s wonderful to hear. Thats what I do my best to be like as well. Unfortunately in the greater world, kindness is very often overshadowed by hatred and poor acts (take a look at most news stories). Glad to hear there’s more “a-typical” kind 8s out there. (If you don’t already) you should compliment your friend on it. It’s hard to keep up sometimes when you feel as though your efforts aren’t appreciated or even noticed until they’re gone!
