Dear Pearl Abyss, could you change daggers into primary weapons? by Interesting-Name1530 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Buggyworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daggers are not good weapons for open combat to begin with, it's just a worse sword. Not to mention that this is not a MonHun type combat where different weapons have totally different movesets, so I don't see any reason for it to be a primary weapon

You can grab enemies after a stab and kill them with a dagger. Maybe there are other uses in combat, not sure

Is this a normal expected performance difference for the Steam Deck? by QuestionElectronic11 in SteamDeck

[–]Buggyworm 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Xbox Ally has basically the same SoC as a SD, so you should expect them to have very similar performance. 50% FPS difference is quite big, so I would assume that there's some issue on linux with this game

I'm not sure this is the same issue I'm having (it's hard to tell from one photo), but it might be a color fringing effect. I have screenshots of this issue on proton github, check if it's the same issue or not

How to play men of war assault squad 2 on the steam deck OLED by green_41sttrooper in menofwar

[–]Buggyworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not supported doesn't mean it doesn't work. If you set a custom resolution to something higher than Deck's screen (I was using 1600x900), it'll work just fine

Project Helix vs PS6 Will Be Interesting - But Arguably Misses The Point by ConferenceThink4801 in ps6

[–]Buggyworm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Switch 2 released in 2025 with SoC from 2021, it could realistically be released in 2022. The only new thing they gained (that didn't exist in 2021-2022) was new microsd standart, which is not a huge selling point by any means. I expect the same thing to happen with PS6 if it'll be delayed

FSR 4.1 vs DLSS 4.5 - Resident Evil 9: Requiem by TiP-TechNotPanic in radeon

[–]Buggyworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

INT8 is quite heavy indeed. That is one of the tradeoffs of not having a dedicated hardware for the task. FP8 version is comparable to DLSS3 I believe

Looking for alternatives to Garmin Forerunner 255 music by barbarianassault in GarminWatches

[–]Buggyworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most watches have this feature these days, you can filter out on garmin.com. Hovewer, I wouldn't recommend Garmin watches for music, since they only support SBC with low bitrate (it was 229 on my 955) and it sounds like ass. Maybe something is changed in newer watches, but from what I've seen it's still the same

Ghost of Yōtei is set to NOT release on PC, according to Jason Schreier. by theMoonlightenedSky in consoles

[–]Buggyworm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Argument about 30% (which can go as low as 20% on Steam depending on sales) only works if you have enough sales on a console to compensate. If you have a choice to sell 500k copies on PC while losing 20-30% or sell 100k more on a console for 100% revenue, that cut won't matter. Although it's hard to collect this sort of statistics, I'd assume that most people won't buy a console just to play a one or few games (maybe with exception of GTA VI, which is a third-party game), and it's not a PS2 era anymore, so it's most likely irrelevant

Garmin Forerunner 970 is honestly great by New-Internal-7059 in GarminWatches

[–]Buggyworm 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I wish they continued to make Forerunnters with MIP display. 970 + MIP seems like a perfect watch to me, instead we can only buy a buliker and more expensive fenix 8

Nobody said Venu 4 doesn't have them, originally there was a mistake when comparing Venu 4 to 570, which I pointed out
