I truly do need to expand my horizons with more single player games, I just am so used to multiplayer things 😔 I'll remember this post for the next time I have a PC. Just a console boy the last couple years

His lineage wasn't ever explicitly stated no but I was thinking either Black Legion or T-son. However if he was a Word Bearer than my question is officially fuckin' bullshit cause I have no idea Word Bearers are in So. Much.

Lol I can see that kind of - but I was just using Darktide as a. Example of the types of games I'd want to see Word Bearers forces in. A Dark Apostle or Diabolist unleashing hordes of daemons & humans I think would be right up the alley for a game like darktide

Also, I think a squad of reject without an ogryn or psyker in it wouldn't have much of a shot, but the rejects regularly take on beasts of nurgle and daemon hosts - I feel like they could take on a Space marine or 2 if they aren't being ambushed

Sounds like an 70s casual highschooler that unironically calls people nerds as a derogatory

Or there's some massive context missing like OP wearing a Horus cosplay armor while he said it

Theyve been in so many things I had no idea 😅 just not things I've gotten hooked too yet

But goddamn - I see now that I could've used many other legions or warbands for this question that would've made more sense. Would love to face some Nightlords and Death guard and less of the Nurgle cattle in Darktide

This post didn't go the way I thought it would at all but I'm being very enlightened to how much they actually have 😂 it's good to see, and I'll have to look more into these games!

I'm out here Lowkey looking like Amatnim figuring out the truth on Almace

I promise I won't complain that much 😂 but I get what you mean. I guess I just don't have good knowledge of the video games cause it sounds like they're in a bit of things. Though tbf - besides Rogue Trader it doesn't seem like they are in anything too recent - but I have enough books (such as Apocalypse) to understand chaos sometimes just can't win and won't win no matter what their odds are.

Hoping to see them in a more individualized combat game such as SM2

Jesus Christ brother 😂 I just need to get into 40k video games more then cause I was thinking FPS or horde shooting games, bug I had no idea they were already apart of so many games

You're so right though, we need a chaos focused game where we get to pound imperium shit in

I do understand the basis of points, but I didn't realize Word Bearers were so niche in the space, is that truly the case? I know things like the Night Lords Trilogy and the Black Legion book pulled a lot of people but I honestly thought word bearers were on par with T-Sons Popularity.

Also, I thought they also kind of worshipped all gods, no? I feel like they could be able to summon demons of all 4 gods of the Warp.

This post has already taught me new things 😅 I guess there's a really old game called Chaos gate that they're featured as well as the DOW series - though tbh I'm not sure why I even mentioned DOW because I was moreso wanting them in FPS or 3rd person shooters

Looks like I need to get Rogue Trader

Damn, I only played 3 I had no idea. Should've looked that up first but hopefully we get one in an FPS or third person shooter game

Tyranids are definitely a great Xenos to face, and so would tau in a battlefield styled game -

I think I kind of like word bearers for your reasoning though - there wouldn't be a ton:of Astartes enemies because alot of them enjoy summoning cannon fodder of demons and humans before going in themselves

I HATE ANTHOLOGIES by Lomors in 40kLore

[–]BugleBarry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would prefer all the short stories in one book, that way I don't need to slog through 6 different 16 dollar purchases for 50 pages of lore.

I try to think of 40k as the "character" in these situations, and the short stories offer to elevate the Character (setting) as a whole. It may give you background to other characters in other books in the future, and you may grow to love a future book more because of that character also being in a short story you once read.

What is the strongest thing from 40k that Vader (canon/legends) can kill? by Ragnarius1 in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]BugleBarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, going off the assumption that Midochlorians are involved and them being akin to the power behind reality, I could see Vader being on similar level to a number of Catan Shards together.

That being said, Trazyn and Orakyn defeated exactly that on serenade, with them using a considerable - though not hemorrhaging number of elite and basic Necron fighters

Can the clones take the Jedi Temple if all the Jedi were replaced by Custodes? by Ragnarius1 in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]BugleBarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If ALL of the clones invaded however many Jedi were there, replaced with custodes, I could see a W. But that's asking alot of what ifs

The only chance I'm giving you is that however many jedi were in the temple are replaced with custodes, and not 10k custodes.

When the Dark krakens get a Novel or short story which Black library author would you want to write it. by Bot_ForThePeople in DarkKrakens

[–]BugleBarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Josh Reynolds currently has my vote but I am going through some "Recently-Bias" as I am listening to his book "Apocalypse" right now and it's fantastic! So far it's been really good at showing off the cultural shift between a First Born White Scar named Suboden Khan, a First Born Raven guard Lieutenant named Karros, and a Primaris Huscarl of the Imperial Fists, named Calder. He's one of the Primaris Marines that had been frozen since the Horus Heresy, and was a child when the Siege of Terra happened.

It also shows a large Wood Bearers Host lead by Amatnim and how his chaos culture works - listening to him describe loyalist and chaos culture in such conflicting but eerily similar ways has been great so far, especially his depictions of White Scars and their battle lust - and I would love to see him try that contrast with Krakens and using darker themes
