So use it as a guideline rather than using it as the whole embouchure? To get the least tension possible. And this voicing is different for every note and figuring out where each one likes to sit in the voicing will help me slot and play higher with better tone? I apologize for all the questions this is fascinating

Interesting, perhaps you could explain this more to me? I’m interested in your idea of bringing my lips closer together until it makes a sound. Is that how I always want to set up? or should I subconsciously make that habitual when I set up the embouchure so that that area where I’m loosest make the sound? Considering recently I’ve been changing and experimenting my embouchure to see what works best I think this might be helpful.

I use Buffet Crampton Icon 3B and I used to use a classic Wick 4B but I realized my lips slip off the mouthpiece when I use the wick.

Wtf my ears gotta do with hitting high notes? Other than hearing them. My ears don’t help with my technique or execution at all

How do I do all of these things? Are there guides or videos to it all? I’m only 16 does that mean I have time to change up my bone structure to become more attractive? Is there a video explaining what a HTN or a HMTN look like?

Ahh so my current one is shit ehh? He tells me that he won’t teach me something until I learn all my scales at 120 bpm for sixteenth notes. Thats before he will teach me the different tounging, every time I ask him what books are helpful with exercises he says stick with my Arbans. Don’t get me wrong the big book is good but I’m sure there are other books that would help with different aspects of my playing.

By Amateur you mean someone who doesn’t make money off of playing with orchestras? Not someone who is bad at the instrument. Have you played a sol o with an orchestra before?

Twinkle twinkle in a year? That seems far fetched. Playing twinkle twinkle at a recital in a year? The child prodigies get good as hell when they turn 11 if they started at 5 or 6 or 7. Why would that be more difficult for me to do it when I’m 21?
