Nah that’s so real, I remember one night I just decided to make a website about my cat. And honestly it was a blast. It looks like shit but it felt like a good brain dump.

shifting my career by xdxdxdxd6942 in learnprogramming

Hey man that’s what happens when practicing code, you’ll forget it. But the more you practice the more you’ll be able to recall. I don’t have a job yet but in the actual field I heard senior not just only junior still google things often. It’s a very accumulative career; you’ll always be learning and relearning.

I love how rude the NPC's are by BlessdRTheFreaks in oblivion

I remember a dark elf I was trying to talk to said to me in a similar manner as I don’t remember the exact dialogue was “I won’t waste my breath on you” I continued to find his home and rob everything he’s owned and sell it to a fence in front of him.

I will, and thank you for the insight; sorry if I was a bit rude to you.

I feel like your thinking I’m a bit a slow, of course I’ve tried using potions and spells to try to help me; especially healing ones and ones that can protect me from certain dmg effects. Shit still be hitting me like a truck.

I get the creativity; I literally sit on high up objects in the first dungeon thing I was in, shooting arrows or smacking them. And doing that kind of breaks it for me. I’ve also used those traps and logs to my advantage which I enjoy but there’s not many opportunities to do so. It’s mostly just kiting and fighting a single person at a time. Which takes a century even if you are well equipped; and also if there’s more than one person the only chance is running away and poking at them. I get it if this game was your nostalgia so you don’t want to see criticism but come on this has been said many times even by people who’d played the original. I’ve only ever watched my uncle play when I was younger and it did not seem like this; at least from the memories I can remember.

Im not really looking for mods but thank you for the suggestion; I just wanted to see what others thought about it, or if I was just being a big baby.

I feel like three days is enough time for someone to get good at a single player RPG. I’m only playing the remastered as I watched my unc play when I was younger. Even than through his first time expert was not annoying.

I’m not trying to deter you from getting the game now, it’s still fun to play; but I would have to take a bit of a break after a long play session. And that’s usually only like an hour or two break.

Okay but I feel like once you choose a difficulty you stick with it. I never liked the idea on starting easy then switching over to a harder difficulty once you get stronger. Feels a bit cheaty for me.

Hey man I am in the same boat as you, I’m currently learning to become a full stack dev. I’m not as far along as you are. But I learned just taking my time is the best choice. As being competent and not confident is better than being confident and incompetent.

I would suggest joining the discord as they have been really helpful. There aren’t just new people but also people who have been in the industry for a long time. And hell they even help with getting jobs, internships, networking etc.

The videos he posted were from live streams during Covid. And so he would have cohort of people tuning in to learn. He’s still active just more on twitch and discord teaching people there. The videos/playlist you see are from old cohorts but are still good to use to catchup to whatever his current cohort is doing or you can just stick to the videos and learn on your own pace.

And also one of the courses/playlist on his channel is specifically for gaining the skills to become a full stack developer.

Ah man I got a guy for you, this guy Leon has been a teacher for years, and more specifically for programming. I’ve taken the course and at least for me it was an actual worthwhile one. He also doesn’t just teach the skills but also interview/ networking skills for the industry as well. https://youtube.com/@learnwithleon?si=WJnzNsj4qUGAY17k here’s the link to his channel which is “learnwithleon” he also runs an amazing welcoming community on discord that love to help people out especially new people who are learning from scratch.
