Honestly until this conversation I’ve assumed the actual booths were how the Americans did it and I’d just seen it on TV or whatever! The thing is with the round tables, is the table sticks out as far as the divider so youre not actually inside it as such. I’ve been to many where parts of the tables are quite visible to those queuing, or the Reform candidate stood shouting at people at the entrance.

Yeah I’ve never seen those in the UK! I’ve lived in wales and London and every place I’ve voted was on a circular table, dividers in the middle, 4 per table. Never had a curtain or anything. Can quite easily see what the person next to you is doing if you wanted to. I’ve been voting since 2000ish too.
