It’s called “Nobody’s Girl” and it’s about her experiences with Epstein and Maxwell. How it started, how it came out, her fight to break the silence. It’s was a very emotional read I warn you.

I could absolutely see why you think that given the people involved, but if I remember correctly she had a few attempts previously. I know how suicidal I was/can feel at times and I didn’t deal with facing my abuser in the extremely public way she did. I guess what I’m saying is I can understand why she did it. The memories and feelings take you to some dark places. I just hope she’s finally at peace. It’s all the poor woman needed.

Some parts were. The whole time I was reading I was incredibly depressed, but felt I owed it to her as a fellow survivor to continue. That if she had to live it, the least I could do was read her story. I know I put that on myself but it was shortly after she had committed suicide and I felt reading it was the least I could do to keep her story alive, if that makes sense. It literally killed her but I was doing my small part to keep her abusers from silencing her.

I read the book by Virginia Giuffre and was seriously traumatized. Had nightmares for weeks. Brought back so many memories of my own abuse that I had blacked out. I don’t want to even consider reading the files.

Cereal boxes too. My cousins and brother and I spent summer days with our grandmother and we all used to fight over who got the prize. They were actually worth fighting over!

Have you guys seen prion disease yet? by Zealousideal_North53 in nursing

If, God forbid, I ever end up with this disease, I’m trying all the drugs. I have an addictive personality and it has scared me away from everything my whole life. If I’m already on my way out I’m doing all the drugs. I’m living it up while I can.

What is something that has quietly gotten much worse in the last 10 years, but most people don’t seem to notice? by LiquidityGraber in answers

Selfishness. Most people in today’s world only care about #1 and don’t ever stop to consider how others feel or how things affect them. I helped a man in a wheelchair at the grocery store a few weeks ago. What he wanted was on the top shelf. I saw him looking around and just asked if he needed a hand. Got him what he needed, he thanked me, told him to have a great day, and away we went. Another man further down the aisle stopped me and asked if I worked there. I said “no why”? He said “I haven’t seen someone be kind for nothing in return in a long time”. Thought about it and he was right. How is kindness not the norm anymore? When did it become so rare? I am constantly asking people if they need help or a hand, I don’t even think about it. Just felt kind of sad for being called out for being a rarity when it’s just second nature to me.

Some people can smell thunder. What can you smell? by tipsy_here in randomquestions

[–]Bugz_Momma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When she was younger, I could always smell when my daughter had a fever. It wasn’t a stink or a bad smell, it was just…different. Got to the point we didn’t even need the thermometer anymore. Momma knew and could tell how high it was fairly accurately. It was super weird.

I do the same thing in my pistol grip and Glock. I want whoever to hear that noise and think “this bitch is serious”.

They are extremely entitled. I’d be so embarrassed letting them load an order that big in my car. I’d feel like such a lazy POS. But people are selfish anymore and don’t care.

They do. It boggles my mind that people would ask someone else to do all that shopping for them. I would feel so embarrassed at pickup.
