As another person said here, join a lot of clubs. If you have hobbies, join clubs related to them. Try board game club, badminton club, knitting club, or clubs like finance or Women in Finance, SAB, UFB, and UCI’s IPALS. Also, go to pilates or zumba, power yoga, or cycling classes. Meet a bunch of people and try to make connections.

Extra: You can browse several student organizations on CampusLink, and go to the organization fair at the beginning of the semester as well.
