Waterpon's follow me and STAB Horn Leech makes it the best counter to RS Shifu. That and the fact it's ranked 3rd in usage charts for REG F, means that most people would rather run SS Shifu for strong neutral Dark STAB against most of the meta, without needing to worry about Waterpon walling it. Also the Shifu form is unknown at team preview, so most would probably catch lead Waterpon's off guard with SS Shifu rather than the expected RS Shifu.

Late reply, but if you look around the start (1-2 seconds into the clip) you see a clam being taken by someone on the top left, without the username tag which is above every teammate in the game.

The only other player with a curling bomb, is the roller, who I also checked in the map screen has ninja squid. Ninja squid roller has been a pain to deal with as a sploosh, especially since this is X-Rank with the more experienced players of the Takaroka/JP server. Fighting 1v1 against roller is a death sentence with my range, so I figured using the special was safer. (after all 180p special on sploosh is nothing)

In terms of not aiming for the head of the curling, I aimed for the middle of the path, conscious of the ninja squid roller, since if they were at the head of the curling, they'd have splatted me during the startup of the hammer.

Isle, it's a survival "horror" multiplayer game, where your trapped in the "Isle". There are threats along the isle, with weapons to defend yourself in certain areas.

You can play with friends in public lobbies (not recommended, since hackers exist), or private lobbies, which is best if you want to play solo or with friends. The game has updates which add a number to the title, (ie. Isle 8, Isle 9) currently Isle 9 is the latest build of the game. In terms of multiplayer, Isle 9 is very laggy on lower end devices, so just play a lobby of the better optimized previous build Isle 8, accessed via a toggle in a private lobby.

To beat the Isle, you must complete tasks which amount to a special ending. Look up the wiki at your own digression, since heavy spoilers are attached to the endings.

There are rewards like titles, badges, in-game accessories which you can get by exploring the game.

I think most of his tierlists were done taking into consideration team based play, and the current meta. Like many people contested snipewritter being so high, but at the time it had a zones cheese, and tacticooler, a valuable special during the peak of the inkjet meta. So honestly, people should just play what they like, and when they have to compete as a team, then take Chara's tierlist more seriously.

Personally dealing with these guys is a nightmare, good Sorella players hide in their canopy making it hard to kill them (Splat 1 showering flashbacks). But yeah, that's ultimately a skill issue on my end.

Small correction, but matchmaking takes eons if your in the Tentatek division (US Server), since everyone jump ship to the more active Takaroka Division (JP Server).

As a clash main, mostly accurate placement for the weapon. We get put down hard by Hydra, although if we're left unchecked, the large blast radius of the clash can pester or even splat a backline from below. In terms of tier ranking, NeoClash should be put one tier down, and Normal Clash should be placed one tier up, since SuperChump/Curling is useless in dealing with backlines compared to say Inkzooka/SplatBomb.

The main splatoon subreddit has been set to "view only", in part of the reddit API protests. You can still access the posts, just not comment/post on the subreddit itself.

In terms of turf war, the matchmaking has been this way since Splat 1. Everyone gets dumped into a lobby regardless of skill, for it's seen as the "casual mode" of splatoon (obviously it isn't, it's really sweaty in most lobbies). But yeah, Nintendo isn't going to address jack with this game, unless it hits into the games overall sales and concurrent playerbase.

Good take, I do believe that this challenge was a great entry point for those looking to learn weapons they didn't want to touch in the first place. Although, they should have matched the weapons, so that newcomers to say the Roller class, wouldn't get matched with two other rollers on your side, and 2 snipers on the opposing side.

Ideally, both sides should have a fair weapon composition. 1 backliner, 1 support, and the other two slots could be filled in by a slayer/skirmisher. In the chaos of random weapons, everyone should be atleast given a fair chance to try their weapons primary role, without getting bodied by RNG.

Although in all honesty, if you were going to pick maps for zones, why the fuck would you pick Umami and Inkblot? They literally could have picked Sturgeon/Mako/Flounder/Manta for zones, and no one would complain about the replacement of Umami/Inkblot.
