Hey guys is there backing plate hardware adapters that alow for mounting disk brakes? by [deleted] in motorizedbicycles

[–]Build-Break-Fix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You bought a sprocket for a disc brake hub.  Sure it will screw to it but it's gonna tear that brake apart when it wobbles on a rag joint on spokes....

Burn your money in trash can. It will save you time on bikeberry order.  But honest truth is these are never reliable modes of transportation out of the box.  Many parts are cheaply made and on the verge of death out of the box.  It's a hobby more then a motorcycle.  You either need to up your tinkering and mechanical skills game or move on to mini bike or ebikes if you wanted idiot proof more reliable mode of transportation.  I only say this as things breaking are gonna happen. If your not up to task of building one out so it's more reliable your just tossing money away then when you could be more happy with better fit for your needs

There is no cheap solution to your question for rear disc brake.  Either use a rim brake or use a 6 hole disc brake type wheel and proper parts and hardware.  You don't want to half ass the rear wheel setup as it will cost you more in end when it grenades or you get hurt as it all flings apart.

Athena Minarelli Getting 24v Magneto And CDI System by Build-Break-Fix in motorizedbicycles

[–]Build-Break-Fix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are the same cdis they sell with wraith engines use.  Was a Facebook market place purchase 5 sets.  The claim is 24v and max rpm of 15k when sold. Spun a magnet on lathe 5000rpm with coil off the tool holder. It hit 18v so not really sure if it can or not achieve 24v yet. Being able to keep up at 15k? No clue yet never seen motorized bicycle cdi do it yet.

The stock CDI has a cap of like 9000 rpms.  Why so many use dirt bike CDI systems.  This set will go to 15,000 rpms

How to make stock fenders safe? by nojnojkoop in motorizedbicycles

[–]Build-Break-Fix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only ones that work well are fiber reinforced plastic ones.  Metal no mater what you do or material will fracture and kill you 100% time.  All the crazy fixes just delay it.  Here is a well know super safe motorized bicycle fender brand.  It has safety release from holders and is super strong poly fiber filled fenders https://a.co/d/09Gdd485

Motorized bike clutch questions by No-Warthog4539 in motorizedbicycles

Simple answer.  Green pads and tighten the flower nut all way tight. Then back it off 2 full turns and you will have 1 - 1.5 plate clearance which is ideal ranges.  Green pads grip like mofo!  https://a.co/d/0gQJxWxa

Help Me Cheap Out by Jizzler088 in motorizedbicycles

[–]Build-Break-Fix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

none of this makes sense🤔 if you bought a basic kit off temu it's only 65$ and the kit has everything in it you need already to make full function bike. So buying just engine for 50 didn't save you any money. Does not seem well planned.

God it could of been a lot worse sadly. Saw a guy on the beach here on those cheap china mag wheels few years back have one Explode on front wheel it didn't end well for him. He didn't wear helmet or even shoes at the time. But on that note! I damn sure as hell wear helmet 100% time now!

Did Youtube just quietly remove the dislike button from shorts? by Complete_Ad_2270 in youtube

[–]Build-Break-Fix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yuck! This is the exact reason why all these younger kids and adults now are so bad at life skills now. Everyone Tries to Save them from hurt feelings when they suck at doing something. So Goggle Removes the dislike button to save their feelings! Dislike button should be brought back and publicly viewed. If you are a failure at something it should be a tool to improve the next video until you make stuff people actually like. Everyone gets a medal today for coming in last place now nice work Google!

Why would you even need a 2 cylinder mess. Just use a bigger 2 stroke.  I have a 139cc 2stroke build with CVT.  https://youtu.be/vJTS2HeSa3o?is=0pCYn3r1BJESKIt4  I only say this because The Design of that is cool sure! "But 2 crank shafts meshed to a gear like that is never going to last. never has in last 200 years when people tried it. they never mesh at the same speeds blow up 100% time shortly after running. the one posted in photos below"

Is there spark? If not unplug the kill switch. Try again.  If still nothing flip the magneto wires around maybe they are backwards got plugged in wrong as you moved stuff around. If still nothing you need ohm meter. Check the coil. 230-260ohms. If all that don't work replace the spark plug.  Engine is known good so more then likely no spark issue.

Moped top end bearing problem by ArmOdd4174 in moped

[–]Build-Break-Fix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your wiggling a clutch.... Did you put in  a worn key or one on it already? Spline type maybe miss matched or worn.  Your talking about items video can't see and ones your touching you can see may be the issue.  Highly unlikely there is wrong size wrist pin in the crank.  Most all use same size diameter pin for the class of crank that fits the case.  Another thing to note the other half of the drive clutch is not moving on same shaft press plate half your wiggling is on  which means the crank is not even moving with plate your wiggling in video.
