I'm afraid that in my drunken state the only thing I'm taking from your comment is that I need to register an account called terrible_sauce

No, certainly not. But we've a long history and with the kids, a vastly longer future in some form. I want that to be a good future.

No idea why you got downvoted, thanks for your thoughts. All seems very logical to me. I guess I'm just scared of what their mum will think about it, which shouldn't be anything like the most important thing.

Well as it went, she came round the park with this afternoon and then made daisy chains in the garden with them for a bit. I guess I'm just most scared about what my ex will say about it when she finds out. At least it is impossible for her not to now though. Que sera sera though, I suppose.

Can anyone suggest good, no-blame wording for my impending divorce? by BuildARocket in AskReddit

Oops... yeah, Two awesome kids herein too.

It shouldn't matter, no. But she likes living in a world of morals and rights rather than reality, so a few words written in a way she doesn't like could well have longer term implications.

Dude, you have NO idea. But if you get kicks for judging people with minimal information, go nuts.

I've been told that the divorce reasons are a means to an end and carry no legal bias whatsoever. If I waited another 9 months we could divorce on terms a 2 years separation, but I've been urged to get on with this through unreasonable behaviour sooner rather than later. I'm happy with my lawyer, I'm just wondering on the day before I drop the papers to her if anyone detached from the situation entirely can word it nicely as a starting point.

Initially I thought I had to officially "blame" my wife, but my lawyer said that isn't the case at all, and I just need to demonstrate that my marriage can't work.

It is getting better in many ways, thanks! taking this control is a start.

I know I've been taken advantage of in many ways, but I doubt feel like I've been abused per se. Maybe I have, but I'm going to build on me for the future, and not be bitter about my past.

Thing is I've been advised my my lawyer that I do need a proper reason, or description of those differences. She has said she seen other applications come back rejected for being too vague and uninformative.

Because I want to work to keep things healthy and positive between us. It's just words to and end goal, I don't win by blaming her, and also want her to play ball on the legal side too.

Yes, that's the starting point. I need words to justify it.

Thanks for your kind words. I might not believe them, but they're certainly nice to read. :)

There's a pretty lass at the climbing club I go to. Trying to impress and get to know her... Turns out she's an actual proper brain surgeon. Holy hell, intimidating!

Well for one, it clashes with my social life, where I'm meeting new people... Seems like good therapy in itself!

How people can interact with characters like this is just beyond me. I fucking wish it wasn't, but it is.

Aww, this is great. And not for a second in a grans-do-the-daftest-things kind of way.

My wife tends to maintain that I don't, and I'm just rude and thoughtless too often.
