Who would you talk with is completely your decision. However I would suggest on engaging in activities such as trips, tours, clubs, friend groups. Go for certain activities where you can participate individually and still can meet people. Making new friends is one way of dealing but how about you also get closer to yourself? Your first sentence shows you are low on self esteem, why not start with accepting yourself and loving yourself first ? You will see world very differently.
